"Scary? My god, you're divine."

Novalie was adjusting well to living with her father. Novalie began going to school in the mortal world, she convinced her father to let her go so she wouldn't be turned into a flower every day. Besides school, Novalie would spend most of her days playing with Cerberus and sending letters to Percy since her father would go crazy if he saw her Iris-Messaging Percy.

At times, she would go to buy Cerberus new toys, she would sneak out of the Underworld and shadow travel to New York. Percy told her the new school he went to, Meriwether College Prep.

At night, she would leave him pictures of Cerberus and letters of how she was doing, she made sure he never saw her because for some reason, she found it easier to send him letters instead of talking with him. Novalie would watch as Percy smiled at the pictures she would place on his bed. She watched as he wrote her letters, then would send them to the Underworld.

She would also visit Annabeth, she would hang out in her room for a few hours, sitting on the floor before going back to the Underworld. Annabeth would tell Novalie about things going on in her life and Novalie would lay on her bed, listening as she played with a ball of shadows.

Novalie also visited Theo and Elijah, she'd read comics at Elijah's house and watch movies with Theo, sometimes, Elijah would visit Theo at the same Novalie did and the three would spend the day doing dumb things together.

She tried to visit Chris but, he lived at camp full time, he never mentioned his mother so she couldn't try to ask where he was. Novalie came to the conclusion that Chris either joined Luke or was a missing camper, a few campers had gone missing and Novalie wasn't sure if one was Chris.

The only things that bugged Novalie was Persephone trying to turn her into flowers, and her school. At first, Persephone tried to turn her into a black rose, then a tulip, and by the time she tried the third time, she had finally gotten used to having Novalie around.

Persephone and Novalie found a common interest, flowers, Novalie loved painting Persephone's flowers, and Persephone made flowers for Novalie to paint.

The two still had their occasional fights, one time, Novalie forgot she was talking to her father's wife and told her to go jump off a cliff. Novalie was grounded for three weeks because of that, but, she eventually apologized.

Novalie went to John Burroughs Middle School. She asked Hades to enroll her because she didn't know what else to do other than play with Cerberus and watch the dead.

Novalie did good in school, the only problem was the students, not all but most of them liked to annoy her because she barely spoke to anyone. They would try taking her things and seeing if she would tell them to stop, she didn't. When they did it, Novalie would immediately jump onto them, and she was close to getting expelled multiple times but Hades sorted it out.

Novalie didn't get into many fights, she tried her hardest not to. She knew that her anger controlled her powers, she couldn't risk summoning the dead just because of one kid.

Novalie's last day of school was a day ago, which meant she had to start getting ready to arrive back at camp.

She sat in her room, tossing her things into her bag. She folded her clothes and put them inside the bag. Novalie got up and walked to her drawer, checking that she had everything when she heard her father.

"Do you have everything?" Hades asked.

"Just making sure I have my sketchbook." Novalie nodded as she ran to her bed and grabbed the thick black book sitting on the edge of her bed.
