"We have found that the cause of this storm was not only the Veil of the Abyss naturally opened on its own. A group of people there was apparently ordered and paid to tamper with the opening. Causing a shadow storm that we are not prepared for."

The Warden stated to the Chief, standing with his chin held up high. His voice stern and yet his tone seems proud from what he had claimed to achieve.

Claudia didn't pay him any attention, her fingers swiping on the holographic screen on her table. Seeing the wanted names, letting her know that these people are still on the run.

"They used a cosmic bomb, luckily the Abyssal veil was able to absorb most of its impact. How did they even manage to get their hands on one of those?"

She stated to herself, wondering to herself. Her brows are slightly creasing in confusion.

"No matter, Chief. We will try our best to get a hold of those remaining rogues."

The Warden tried to assure her confidently.

Claudia snapped out of her confusion and turned her attention to the man. Raising her eyebrows at him. She stood up from her chair and walked over to him. The warden flinched and squirmed on his stance when the Chief walked to his position, his face contorted from confidence to an awkward expression.

"Ma'am?..."

"You think I wouldn't know?"

The man gulped as the Chief walked closer to him. Halting in front of him, his knees shaking from intimidation.

"Fix your stance Mr. Vallen."

She ordered the man. He immediately fixed his posture, snapping his body on to a stiff posture.

"You think I wouldn't know how you were slacking off the whole time? Letting your subordinates do the job, instead of you yourself?"

The man froze up, he started sweating from all over his neck and his face. The aura of the woman in front of him intimidating him, as he can feel her seething.

"What made you think that you are privileged enough to think laying around is okay? While watching your subordinates to do their job, basically putting their lives at risk in your place. "

"M-ma'am, I'm so.. sorry."

"You will be placed once again among the junior personnels, you will be taking the training again from the beginning, and will not be put in any front line actions until I know you are worth placing among the higher ranks."

He horrifyingly looked at the woman, remembering how hellish it was for him to get through the training. He remembered how he was so relieved to be able to pass through the harsh physical training of him and his other fellow personnel had to endure for years.

How he was so terrified at that one memory where he had to go one on one with one of the strongest people this planet could have to pass the training.

His eyes suddenly rolled back to his head.

"What an asshole, couldn't even catch a few flies."

The woman stated as she witnessed him ridiculously fall on the ground. His knees are still shaking in fear even though he's already laying down after passing out. She ordered the Guardians from outside to take the man out and put him on the infirmary.

She sat on her chair and analyzed the informations that the investigations had gathered so far. When suddenly her door opened. Revealing an amused white haired girl, laughing hard.

"Claudia, what the fuck did you do? The man whom your guard brought outside from your office pissed his pants, while they were carrying him."

She said between her laughter.
