|Vivian's POV|

I stirred awake when I heard mumbling around me, I slowly peered my eyes open but my vision is still blurry.

"Bro, why is there a big ass cat here."

"It's a lynx you stupid ass."

I heard a bit of the conversation going on in one of the corners. Though I already know whose voices are those.
I tried sitting up but my body suddenly jolted down as if my back just snapped.

"Oh my god, Vivian stay still."

A hand pushed me down as I winced in pain. It feels like I've been hit by lightning multiple times, I saw Blair's face hovering above me. I suddenly heard a hissing sound and Blair immediately took her hands that were guiding me back to lay down off my shoulder.

I turned my attention and saw an enormous white cat-like creature, glaring daggers on my friends as if they were a threat. Her piercing deep blue and blood red eyes, and snow like furs remind me of someone.

"Zuri. Settle down."

A nurse told it to settle down and the cat-like creature snorted out of it's nose, as if it's displaying a displeasurement. It suddenly morphed into a small furry cat, and jumped on top of my stomach that made me surprised. It sat there while staring at all the people that are within the room as if it's trying to guard me from something.

The nurse sighed and shook his head.

"I'm sorry about him. He's kinda protective when it comes to new patients. He took it from his owner, he's a lynx."

My jaw dropped while looking at him.

Zuri was his name was it?

I cautiously tried to caress his fur as he sits on my stomach. He didn't react to it in any way, he just accepted my touch and leaned in a bit.

"What! That's unfair, I've been trying to be friendly with him for hours."

Fiona whined while looking at the cat longingly, I paid them no mind as they once again started arguing.

"Anyways, I'm your nurse for the rest of your stay here. Which is about a few more hours, I am assigned by Ms. Faustus herself."

I didn't say anything, not knowing what say at this situation. There's just a lot one room, the nurse only checked some of my injuries and made his way out after telling the arguing people in my room to quiet down a bit.

We talked about the different things that had happened within just the day, and I found out that it's been 4 hours since I passed out. Most of them had their injuries treated supervised by Ms. Claudia herself. I figured despite her harsh greetings on us earlier, her sense of responsibility is still libgering within her. Especially after..

"Wait, do you have any news with Jacqueline?"

That immediately caught their attention and now that I turned my attention to our numbers, Freya isn't here either.

"Well, about that we haven't been able to get any information at all."

Blair informed me and her voice seems a bit hesitant and something tells me that they seem a bit unsettled. I observed them and it seems like my confusion was obvious, Blair sighed and looked at the trio.

"Go on, she knows something is up."

Ashton's mood suddenly lit up, but Fiona immediately shushes him down as he was about to utter a word. I swear, these three.

"Well, this idiot here kinda sneaked out of his room while he was being treated. He tried finding out all of our rooms, and he ended up encoubtering the doctor."
