Chapter 7

We were done with eating breakfast and it was nice. Cameron made some stupid jokes and made me laugh a lot. I normally hate my laugh and try not to but I didn't really care this time. I tried to flirt a little with Cameron. Wink at him a few times, bite my lips and shit like that.. But I felt ridiculous. And I don't even think he noticed. We were sitting at the table when Cameron said "So y/n, what are you doing today?" And I answered "I don't know, why?" He said with a smile "Good. Don't plan anything. I have something in mind that we could do. I mean if you want to?" I said "Yeah sure." And then Luke got up and walked out of the room. I first thought he was just going to the toilet or something so I just continued to talk to Cameron. But he wasn't back after 20 minutes so I said "I'm going to see where Luke is. I'll be right back" and then I walked to Luke's room and knocked on the door. No answer.. So I opened the door slowly and saw him sitting in a chair with headphones on. He was doing something on his laptop. I was standing in front of him and said
"Hey, why did you just leave?"
"I was bored"
"Oh okay. What are you doing?"
"Just watching through some things"
I left the room, got a chair and sat down next to him again.
He was looking at old pictures from us and other friends.
I asked "Why are you looking at old pictures?" But he ignored me.
Then he stopped at one picture. It was me and him when we were in kindergarden and went camping. He said "I miss this time"
"What do you mean?"
"The time when it was only me and you, having fun. Without anyone else" (Luke's family adopted Cameron when he was 8 years old.)
"But don't you have fun now too?"
"I do. But I don't like it when you're talking more to other guys than me"
"What other guys? Cameron?" He just nodded and continued looking at he pictures. I said "Luke, we're still best friends. No matter who I talk to. You are my best friend. And that's not gonna change"
"I know. And that's the problem"
"What's the problem?"
"Nothing. Let's just get ready and have some fun today, okay?"
I said "okay. I'll go take a shower then" got up and walked to the bathroom
