Killing the starving pain

  "You know what you did was stupid, right?" I asked in a small voice as we are watching a movie. For a moment I thought she didn't hear me but then she smiles at me and leans into me. "Yeah, I know"she whispered but her smile didn't leave her lips. We didn't speak even as I snake my hands trough her arms and wrapped them around her waist. I pull her to me but she didn't say anything and neither will.

After the movie ended Asmodeus sleepily went back to his room but i didn't. I just kept holding her and counting her breaths to know she was still alive. Getting comfortable in my embrace she says "don't kick me in the ribs when you wake up and your still here" i chuckled "ya, i won't." I said smiling and hugging her tighter. "You really scared me" I whispered and she hugged me tighter "I'm sorry" she whispered back and i couldn't help but just let everything out. I shake as I hide my face in her neck and just cry silently. She didn't say anything just hugged me as I cry. "You really scared me, May" I repeat "I didn't mean to" she whispered, I cried a bit louder but she never mocked me, just caressed my back. We spend like that for what felt like 5 minutes but I know that it was longer. "Let's go to bed" she whispered and I just nod. To tired to be embarrassed and prideful. She pulled away from my arms and I reluctantly let her go, but then she took my hand and help me up. "Come on" she whispered as she dragged me to her bed.

May's POV

Since my parents death, no one really cared if I died or got hurt. So it was really confusing and shocking to me Asmodeus and Mammon reaction. I kind of knew they were going to be upset but not like this. Even after the little spa, Asmo was still holding my hand in a tight grip that only soften after sleep started creeping in his system. I was even more shocked when Mammon cried and hugged me and, and, he called me May not human. I cuddled him when we get to bed and he snuggled into my neck. I don't even know why, he seemed to like that spot so I didn't bother him.

Beelzebub's POV

I woke up to the painful feeling I have gotten used to after centuries with it yet it doesn't stop me from still trying to appease it. So I get up brush my teeth quickly and go down to the kitchen to find May and Lucifer already there. It wasn't like yesterday's breakfast tho it was a lot lighter. "Good morning" They both say at the same time but act like they didn't. "Morning" I said as go directly to the food. Eat as usual and the pain immediately went away. May then placed a coffee mug next to me "I noticed that it's painful for you to stop eating, this won't make it permanently go away but it will help" she whispered but I knew Lucifer heard her, we are demons after all. I look at her confused at what she meant by making it go away. "Try it, Lucifer saw me make it so if there anything that will harm you he wouldn't let you drink it" she whispered with a small smile yet I still doubt that Lucifer would even care enough to stop me from drinking something harmful. I don't respond and just drink it. She sits back at her usual place. I thought that her words were bullshit but after a second it kick in and i didn't feel that desperation to eat and it felt weird. "It last about 5 hours, I'm sorry" she said softly but 5 hours?? 5 hours of no pain, 5 hours of no desperation, 5 full hours of no hunger, is something that I don't know how to even feel. "It's ok, 5 hours is good" I said a bit wobbly and i didn't know why. She didn't comment on it though and just eat her breakfast quietly as Lucifer joined us "what kind of potion did you put on his coffee?" He asked but it didn't sound neither angry nor suspicious of her actions. "It's an ancient potion called disperrelle, it was created by a witch who spend her life looking for a cure for her sick son. In the end she didn't find a cure but instead discovered how to make his immense pain disappear for at least 5 hours. It's said that she created it by the time her son's time was nearing and gave him 5 hours of peace before he died." May explains "Who taught you about it?" He asked curiously "It's a bit of a complex story, Diavolo yesterday asked me something similar but i didn't really answer for the same reasons" she sighed "why is it complex?" Lucifer asked yet again surprising me how intrigued he was in this human girl but can't really blame him cause I also want to know. She thought for a moment before answering "...One day I'll tell you, I promise" she finally said it seem enough for Lucifer, for now that is. "You must give me the recipe" Lucifer demanded "sure, I can teach it to you" she said riling Lucifer by her chosen word but he just scoffed at her and gave hid a rare smile as he drank his coffee.

May's POV

Lucifer was quite chatty today but it was surprisingly pleasant. As the others finally came down they were surprised by Beelzebub's behavior. He quickly explain the potion I gave him and they started showering me with questions. I try to answer as best as I could and was relieved when I finally had the chance to leave with Mammon and Asmodeus to school. They walk me to my classroom and as I enter I prepared myself to another day having to deal with the old inmortal sorcerer.
