Serena and Venelana stood at the entrance to the enemy base as their Power of Destruction rippled in waves through the air, washing away the barriers. The base was silent, and that sense of unease settled over their forces.

"Something's not right," Venelana muttered, her violet eyes jittering about the empty base.

Serina nodded in understanding. "Stay alert," she ordered, her crimson hair flowing behind her as she moved forward cautiously.

A heavy downpour of powerful spells suddenly showered on them. The suddenness of the assault led to shrieks and screams—in pain and terror—as deadly spells rained down. Many would be quick enough to react in time to cast defensive spells, while many would not have the fortune to do so.

"Formations of defence!" yells Serena, trying to rally all her remaining forces.

As the smoke began to clear, out of the shadows came three darknesses: Shalba Beelzebub and the dark auric, menacing swarm of flies buzzing about him; Caesar Leviathan, icy and commanding in his presence; and Caitlin Leviathan, her eyes like ice, matching deadly magic.

"Ah, here we have the great Serena and Venelana," the latter sneered. "Welcome to your doom."

Caesar and Caitlin danced with deadly grace, their magic waving in and freezing the ground, turning enemies into crystalline statues. Serena turned to her Power of Destruction, as did Venelana. However, it was an uphill struggle, given the number of enemies and how well these twins from Leviathan coordinated powerful attacks.

She cast a wave of destruction, pulverising the ice attacks against her, but Caitlin followed him up with a shower of sharps in ice spears. Serena was engaging in an intense battle with Caesar as their powers clashed and frenzied on each other.

For all their skill and strengths, the two women were soon outscored. In particular, Shalba's King of Flies was troublesome, with its swarm of attacks from everywhere, deadly in its precision. Every wave of flies they tore through was succeeded by another, drawing their vitality and concentration away.

"Serena, we can't hold them off like this!" Venelana shouted back, her breathing heavy, her face bloodied from all types of shallow cuts.

Serena ground her teeth. Her eyes burned red with the need to do something. "We have to try!"

The battle raged on. It quickly became evident that they were losing. Their forces had been harassed, and their immense powers were stretched to the limit.

"Time to end things," Shalba declared, his eyes flashing evilly as he readied a final, devastating attack.

Caesar and Caitlin joined him, and their combined magic formulated a gigantic spell full of darkness for Serena and Venelana. The outlook was gloomy, as they were already almost out of energy, destroyed forces at their side.

"Serena, we can't take much more," Venelana whispered, waning with a badly needed boost.

Desperate, Serena pulled out the kunai Naruto had given her. "Naruto, please," she murmured, channelling her remaining demonic power into the kunai.

The kunai lit up brightly as the killing curse flew towards them. Just as the attack was about to hit, a flare of golden light suddenly erupted and a figure appeared. He quickly blocked the attack.

Wearing his black ANBU pants and a white shirt, Naruto had a fierce look on his face, but more so a determination that seemed firm in his eyes as he finally arrived just in the nick of time.

"Get away from them!" he bellowed in full voice, his words resonating loudly with authority. He dispelled the attack with one sweep of his arm; the intervention mimicked the shockwave throughout the space.
