I honestly didn't know this existed until I was told. I haven't legitimately watched this far in the show.

Optimus found himself in A-1 again, during summer break. Everyone has an option to come or not, though Mr. Aizawa forced Optimus in the class. He didn't mind, he was going to join the class anyways. That class has a lot less students, just 7. Midoriya and Bakugo are both in the class.

They enter Ground Beta, a fake city. They're outside a jewelry store with "a villain and hostages" inside. Cardboard cutouts stand around as police. The 7 students and Mr. Aizawa stand in an alley as the exercise is explained.

Bakugo surprisingly takes charge, asking Optimus to portal over and look inside. Optimus nods and does as requested. Todoroki calls the villains to create a distraction. Optimus finds three hostages, and one villain. He relays this to the others, he thinks everything is going good until Bakugo suddenly charges forward and creates and explosion at the entrance. He heads over to the other students. All Might, in a villain costume, lays on the floor. Pretending to be dead.

"What happened?" Bakugo asks.

"I'm not sure," Optimus answers.

"Weren't you supposed to be watching!?"

"Yes, but the smoke from your blast obscured my view."

Bakugo grumbles and turns away. Optimus notices the "villain" has been "stabbed". He chuckles to himself slightly, earning strange looks.

*I wonder if Autobot trainees ever did things like this. I can't imagine Ultra Magnus participating in an exercise like this.*

Iida comes to the conclusion that someone in the building is the murderer. There are only three hostages, all still tied up. So they would have had to be fast. It's an interesting conclusion, but a logical one. They start interrogating the hostages.

Cementoss is a jewelry employee. He says the villain appeared and made him hand over the jewelry. Then was tied up.

Midnight is a Big Advertising Agency employee. She says she walked in for some jewelry and the villain was already there. She was tied up while in shock.

Present Mic is a musician. He says he came in for some jewelry for his girlfriend and was captured. He spoke in an odd way that made it hard for Optimus to understand him.

Todoroki asks if Present Mic was in the store before the villain arrived, which Cementoss confirms. Midnight also confirms the two men were already tied up, in different parts of the store, when she was captured.

Midoriya asks to look through their wallets and bags. Nothing suspicious. Bakugo starts getting impatient. They start putting it together. Without a clear motive, it being too risky for the hostages to kill the villain, and the jewelry still in place, they realize the conflict might be due to something else.

They argue for a bit, trying to figure out the next step when Midoriya comes to a conclusion. The villain didn't have the time to leave, Cementoss confirms this, stating the police can before the jewelry was placed in the bag. Midoriya says Midnight called the police because she knew the villain and knew what he was going to do. But ran in after because she wanted to convince him to change. But Uraraka points out that she wouldn't kill the villain, which Midoriya responds with the fact that it wasn't one of the three hostages.

Upon hearing this, Optimus immediately starts looking around for someone else. The other students suggest suicide, which Midoriya agrees with. Midoriya states that the villain killed himself because he didn't want Midnight to live a bad life. He knew his relationship with Midnight would have been exposed, so he did it to protect her. This causes Midnight to breakdown. A love story.

Mr. Aizawa stops the exercise to confirm they reached the right conclusion. Optimus is struck with confusion.

*This was really just a love story? That's odd... But I guess it helps show the students that sometimes people do illogical things for love...*

Aizawa congratulates Midoriya on his deduction skills, but states they missed one major point, and therefore earn zero points. This shocks everyone. They notice the villain is alive and is fleeing the scene. Tsu had accidentally tickled All Might's nose, and he had reacted. They all assumed it was an accident on his part. Optimus sighs and shakes his head.

*How were we supposed to know that? All Might could have easily just have accidentally reacted.*
