Welcome to Camp

The bus ride to camp was chaotic and loud. Students talking and Iida yelling at them to make sure they followed the rules. Optimus had sat in the front of the bus, near Mr. Aizawa. His mind was stuck on what he had called Aizawa.

*Why did I call him Sire? I'm a grown mech. I shouldn't have done that. At least he didn't know what it meant.*

Finally, they arrive to camp. Well, more accurate, the top of a cliff. The Wild Wild Pussycats introduce themselves with an excited air to them. They explain that they own the camp and will be in charge.

"The summer camp you're staying at is there, at the base of the mountain," One of the Pussycats states.

"Why did we stop all the way up here instead?" Uraraka asks.

"I'm afraid we both know the answer to that," Tsu comments.

"The current time is 9:30 in the morning," The Pussycat continues, "If you're fast about it, you might make it there by noon."

The students start running away, as if the idea was insane.

"Kitties who don't make it there by 12:30 won't get any lunch," The Pussycat states.

The ground shifts and everyone is launched into the forest. Optimus grunts as he hits the ground. They have three hours to make it through the forest, and quirks are allowed. Aizawa had told Optimus what was to happen before hand, knowing Optimus would be the only one to not try running away.

He had given Optimus the person challenge to get through without the use of his quirk, knowing that all it took was a single bridge to get to the camp. Optimus had agreed, but he's now regretting that decision. He hasn't spent much time in human forests, especially not as a human himself.

Mineta rushes forward in hopes of using the restroom, only to run into some kind of beast made of Earth and rock. Just like...

"Unicron..." Optimus mumbles to himself.

*No... That can't be... But... It must be a quirk. Right. Calm down.*

Optimus lets out a large breath to calm himself. He looks up to see Todoroki freezing the creature's legs to the ground. Iida uses a burst to kick off an arm while Bakugo explodes the other. Midoriya uses a smash to finish it off.

More beasts are on their way, the class begins to work together. Shouji uses his quirk to find three beasts up ahead, and two flanking each side. Seven in total. Jiro helps to warn of their approach.

Sero takes down a flying one by tying up their wings. Sato and Kirishima take another down together. Ojiro, Tokoyami, and Aoyama take down another one. Mineta traps another while Kaminari finishes it off.

Optimus notices Kaminari is out of it now and quickly rushes over. Grabbing him and throwing him over his shoulder. Optimus makes sure to keep Kaminari safe from the beasts, narrowly avoiding being crushed.

The other students continue to fight while Optimus watches. He's ready to step in if they need help, but they seem to be handling themselves pretty well.

~~~~~
They finally arrive at 5:20. It took them far longer than they had expected. After a while Optimus had shifted Kaminari into a piggy back position, making him easier to carry. He finally puts Kaminari on the ground, trusting to walk by himself. Optimus walks over to Midoriya and Iida, who have ended up near Bakugo and Todoroki as well.
The other Pussycat, the one that hadn't introduced the training, complements the students. Saying they did much better than she had expected. Which was certainly a relief to some of the students. She rushes over to the group of five Optimus had found himself in, wishing to train them herself. Though she keeps calling them kitties and using cat like terms. It's quite strange.
Midoriya manages to get himself introduced to Kota, who simply punches him between the legs and walks away.
*That kid needs to be taught some manners...*
~~~~~

After unpacking, Optimus heads to the cafeteria. Everyone else is there, eating from an array of foods. One of the Pussycats states this is the only day they'll be having a meal like this. Optimus can't help but chuckle.

*If this is how they react without food for a few hours, they'll be in for quite the rude awakening when they end up with rations.*

Optimus assumes that they'll be given minimum food, though after some thought he isn't so sure about that conclusion. Practically starving the students probably wouldn't be the best idea.

He sits down and starts to eat. He doesn't eat nearly as much as everyone else, just enough to fill himself up.

~~~~~
Optimus finds himself in a big outdoor pool with the rest of the boys. One giant wall separates them from the girls. He can tell Mineta is planning to scale it.
Mineta starts scaling the wall. To Optimus' surprise he's quite fast. Optimus bridges to the top and waits for Mineta. He notices Kota standing there. Kota slaps Mineta off the wall and stares at Optimus.
"What are you doing here?" Kota asks.
"I was going to stop him," Optimus motions to Mineta, "but I see you have it handled."
The girls thank Kota, who looks over. Not expecting what he saw next, he falls off the wall. Optimus quickly grabs him and hoists him back up, taking him back inside.
In the office, Optimus learns Kota's story. The kid's parents were hero's, killed in action. And honorable death, but not one he understands. For this he hates heros. Optimus understands Kota's reaction. He's just a kid, he doesn't know any better.
"Sleep well, Kota. I wish you a better life," Optimus sighs as he leaves.
