The first light of dawn filtered through the castle windows, casting a gentle glow over the stone walls and tapestries. Madeline, now aware of her true identity, rose from her bed with a mix of anticipation and anxiety. She had spent a restless night pondering the implications of being a princess and the responsibilities it entailed.

Determined to navigate this new reality, Madeline decided to seek out Susan for guidance. As the king's sister and someone who already knew the secret, Susan was the ideal person to help her understand what it meant to be a princess and how to balance her duties as the king's personal attendant.

Madeline quickly dressed in her maid's uniform, the familiar attire feeling strangely out of place now that she knew her true heritage. She made her way through the castle, her mind racing with questions and uncertainties.

Susan was in her chambers, reviewing documents and letters. She looked up as Madeline knocked and entered, her expression warm and welcoming. "Madeline, come in. How are you feeling today?"

Madeline took a seat, her hands clasped tightly in her lap. "I'm not sure, Susan. Everything feels so overwhelming. I don't know how to be a princess."

Susan smiled gently, setting aside her papers. "It's understandable, Madeline. You've had a lot to take in. But remember, you don't have to figure it all out at once. We can take it step by step."

Madeline nodded, feeling a small measure of relief at Susan's words. "I just... I don't want to let anyone down. And I still have my duties here. How do I balance everything?"

Susan leaned forward, her gaze steady and reassuring. "First and foremost, you need to remember that being a princess is not about perfection. It's about caring for your people and doing your best. As for your duties here, we can make adjustments to ensure you have the time and support you need."

Madeline's eyes brightened with hope. "You mean, I don't have to give up my work entirely?"

Susan shook her head. "No, you don't. Your role as the king's personal attendant is important, and it gives you a unique perspective on the kingdom. But we can also find ways for you to learn more about your heritage and your responsibilities as a princess."

Madeline felt a weight lift from her shoulders. "Thank you, Susan. That means a lot to me. But where do I start?"

Susan smiled. "I have been thinking about all of this, you know how Isabella will leave tomorrow and that means we have an chamber free. I was thinking about you moving in here, if you want tho." Susan says.

Madeline stayed silent for a moment. This was a very great thing but also a new start. "And my sisters?" She asks as she couldn't move out without her sisters.

"I'm sure your sisters need the help to as this is all new for them tho, ofcourse I couldn't forget about those two angels, we actually have an attic free wich I can turn into a beautiful chamber for the two of them." Susan said.

"This is a really big opportunity and I'm thinking about doing it, but I have to ask my sisters for permission first." Madeline started until her mind suddenly went to the king. "And what about the king? Does he approve this?"

"I'm sure he thinks it's great to have his personal assistant close by him, we don't have to tell about your secret yet if your not ready, after all, peters not the only one who gets to make choices here." Susan says with a grin on her face.

A smile appears on Madeline's face. This is was a dream. She might be new to this role, but with Susan's guidance and the support of her sisters, she knew she could rise to the challenge.
