As Madeline was wondering though the castle next day, trying to find the pevensies. She couldn't find them. She knew they were on a ride but thought they just came back late. Madeline felt uneasy with thought going trough her mind about what could've happened to them.
"Do you know where Peter is? And Edmund, Susan and Lucy?" She asked the first maid she saw.
"I'm sorry my lady, I haven't." The maid genuinely responded.
"Could you ask the other if they have seen them?" She asked in a rush.
"Ofcourse I will my lady."
"Thankyou."
Madeline felt the weight of their absence more than anyone. She refused to believe that they had simply disappeared without a reason.
The same day, Madeline set out from the castle. She rode through the familiar paths and ventured into the woods, retracing the steps Peter and his siblings had taken. She questioned villagers, hunters, and anyone who might have seen them, but no one had any answers.
As she delved deeper into the forest, a sense of foreboding gripped her. The dense trees and shadowy underbrush seemed to close in around her, but she pressed on, driven by a desperate need to find Peter. After hours of riding, she stumbled upon a small clearing. There, standing alone in the middle, was an old lamppost, covered in vines and rust.
Madeline dismounted her horse and approached the lamppost, her heart pounding. The sight of the empty horses tethered nearby sent a chill down her spine. She reached out to touch the lamppost, feeling a strange sense of recognition, though she couldn't understand why.
"Where did you go?" she whispered, her voice breaking. "Where are you?"
The lamppost stood silent and unyielding, offering no answers. Madeline looked around, her eyes scanning the forest for any sign of her loved ones. She felt a wave of frustration and despair wash over her. She had been so certain she would find them here, but now she was more lost than ever.
As the days turned into weeks, her investigation yielded no results. Despair began to creep into her heart, and she felt the weight of their absence like a physical ache. She couldn't help but wonder if they had simply abandoned her, or if something far more sinister had taken them away.
As all of this time went by. There wasn't a day where Madeline wasn't thinking about them. But it wasn't positive. She grew angry at them. She couldn't believe they just vanished her without saying anything. She felt alone and betrayed.
—-But as the pevensies were still on earth, their normal world. They slowly started to figure things out. First that they were all 10 years younger, wich meant that when they were ik Narnia, no time had passed here. But the worst was, that they couldn't go back.
Peter was the first one to notice as a day later he started to miss and wonder where Madeline was. He stepped a foot in the wardrobe to go back, but it didn't word. When he realized he was now stuck here. He broke down. Susan comforting him but with words as "we all miss her." "You need to get used to this now." "This is where we belong."
The words Susan gave werent really helpful as Peter missed his love like crazy. He needed to go back.
