Chapter 2: Isla Nublar Here We Come

~3rd Person Point of View~

As of now, you and Ben had been dating for over a year and a half now. And you or Ben would not have it any other way. Sure, there were some obstacles in the way during your relationship. Such as the media quickly catching on your romantic relationship and who your boyfriend is, somehow getting a picture of you two out getting milkshakes and everyone immediately had questions.

Now your father on the other hand.....

He was very worried and hesitant, he actually talked about killing Ben. But you had to talk him into not feeding him to Blue and the girls. That was when he took in Ben for questioning, during this time he learned a new fear, Y/n's father. Thankfully he didn't feed Ben to the raptors, instead it was a threat.

"If you do anything, ANYTHING at all, the raptors will have a new kind of meal and I'll make it look like an accident." -Owen Grady.

Owen knew Ben was a good kid, just someone who needed to be toughened up. Owen just wants someone to make sure his daughter is protected if anything happens to him. He knows how much Y/n and Ben love each other, dispute being very different but similar at the same time.

Other than those, everything has been going great. Ben is still supportive and protective over Y/n than ever before. And Y/n is more caring for Ben than ever before. The relationship is a very healthy one. One thing Ben would change, is how many fanboys and girls Y/n has.

But anyway, that leads us to right now.

~Y/n's Point of View~

Me and Ben are in the Genetics lab, waiting for his mom to finish and take us to the movies. Since my dad took away my motorcycle for getting arrested a week ago. But when someone wants a race, you just have to. Not my fault we just happened to crash into an orphanage and break the kid I was racing's arm.

Ben was innocently coloring in a coloring book I bought him. Both of us holding hands. He looked so adorable, putting all of his focus on that page. I just have to take a photo! I take out my phone, the lockscreen is a picture of me and Ben at an amusement park on our one year anniversary. Holding my phone, I snap a quick picture of my boyfriend.

Ben looked up from the coloring page, raising an eyebrow. I only looked away, whistle and looking on my phone. Ben only rolled his eyes at my antics and leaned his head on my shoulder. I close my eyes and enjoy his presence. I can never get tired of my adorable Ben.

I hear the door open, it was Ben's mom, holding a pamphlet, "Hey you two, I have an exciting surprise for the two of you!" She sang the last part.

"Mom, you know I hate surprises." Ben whined, I rubbed his hand with my thumb in assurance. In which he smiled softly at me.

"But it is a good surprise!" She exclaim, excited.

Ben put his crayons in his fanny pack, "I'm not so sure about that..."

"Oh come on Love, what is the new Mrs.Pincus?" I ask her, trying to light up the mood.

Ben's mom put a pamphlet on the table, right in front of us, "They are having a new camp on Isla Nublar, with other kids your age! Doesn't that sound fun!"

Ben's eyes widened, I said, "That sounds amazing! I can't wait to go back, ooh! Ben, I can introduce you to Blue, the girls and Loki!" I said, mentioning my raptor named Loki, who has black scales with green stripes.

"Dinosaurs, Raptors?" Ben almost faints from the thought, when he is leaning on my shoulder, I hand him a plastic bag, in case he throws up.

"Sorry Ben, but you are not getting out of this one. The only person you interact with is Y/n and this is not up for discussion." His mom said sternly, "But anyways, I talked to Owen about this, when we are home, I expect to see packing." She said, guiding us both to the car, to drop me off.

~Timeskip~

It is currently eight at night, as of now I am on the phone with Ben. We both are packing for the trip while talking. With my cat, Ben Junior, napping on my bed. I named him Ben Junior because they have the same eye color, I always joked they look like each other. Sure, he was jealous for the first couple of months, but he got around to Ben Junior.

"Darling, do you think I should bring some snacks?" Ben asked, already starting to pack his famous fanny pack.

"Benny, yes please and can you pack me f/d for me please?" I ask Ben, "My dad says I'm too addicted to it and lost my privileges."

Ben only sighs, "Ok, only because you asked." He says, taking the phone with him to get the drinks.

"Bennyyyy." I said, dragging the y in the nickname.

"Yes Darling?" He asked.

"Ben Junior says hi :3" I said, pointing the camera at the cat.

Ben only gave me a, 'are you serious look'

I heard the door open in my room, it was my dad, "Hey kiddo, who you on the phone with?"

I turn off my camera, showing my dad who I'm on the phone with, Ben. A glint if mischief gleamed in my dad's eyes, "Hey Sport, you having fun talking to my daughter?"

Ben immediately stiffened at the sound at my dad's voice. I actually feel bad for Ben, he is just a harmless cute lil guy. "Y-Yes Mr.Grady." He said.

"Huh, bed in 15 Y/n." He instructed me, walking out of the room.

"Goodnight Benny, have sweet dreams." I said, about to hang up.

"Goodnight Angel." Ben says back.

"I love you." We both said at the same time, we both chuckled before hanging up.

I do my night hygienic routine, grabbing some water. Because that random water at 3 am just hits different. Putting Ben Junior to sleep in his bed, and drift off into slumber in my own bed. Excited to spend a whole two weeks straight with Ben.

~Ben's Point of View~

I just got off the phone with Y/n. Quick rant, but why does Y/n's dad do everything in his power to intimate me. Sure, its working, but I am just sick of it! I don't know what he thinks, why does he hate me so much? I basically done nothing to him! He thinks I can't protect his daughter, but I know she is strong and independent. I just do whatever I can to support her and be there for her.

I mean...I am dating his daughter.

But still!

I sigh, thinking about Y/n always makes me feel better. She is the best thing that has ever happened to me, at times I don't deserve her. But everyday I am thankful that she is with me, smiling to myself, I fall asleep thinking about my amazing girlfriend.
