~Ben's Point of View~
I opened my eyes, groaning, looking at my surroundings. Being met with Y/n's eyes on me, she immediately hugged me, "Benny! Are you okay?" She said, examining me for injuries.
"I'm okay, promise." I assured her, picking myself up.
"Is everyone okay?" Darius asked.
"Physically, maybe." Y/n said sarcastically, an arm around me.
"Always a ray of sunshine." Kenji muttered.
'She is.' I thought to myself.
"Yaz, wait! Wait!" Sammy grunts trying to get out of the van, "Yasmina!"
"We're not okay!" Yasmina exclaims.
"Yaz!" Sammy says.
"We're in the middle of a jungle with a monster dinosaur out there, and you... You..." Yasmina hesitates.
"Destroyed our only way to get help and lied about it! I told you guys!" Brooklynn yells.
"So, you did take Brooklynn's phone? Why? What were you doing?" Darius questions.
~Y/n's Point of View~
'Damn, I just realized I left my phone at camp.'
~Ben's Point of View~
"Probably trying to erase my video of her taking those samples from the Sinoceratops. And you knew about the Indominus rex, because you were snooping around Dr. Wu's office when I ran into you. I knew it!" Brooklynn exposes.
"I didn't mean to destroy the phone. I fell on it when the zipline came down and--" Sammy tried defending herself.
"But you did steal it? You had it that whole time and didn't tell us?" Yasmina says.
"Wait Brook, why were YOU in Dr. Wu-Wu's office?" Y/n questioned.
"I... It doesn't matter. I didn't break our only way to call for help and then lie about it! This is not my fault! This is her fault! She--" She replied.
"I'm here to spy! ...For a company called Mantah Corp." Sammy said.
I turn to Y/n, only to see terror in her face. Eyes widened, and eyes filled with horrid memories. Frozen in pure fear, not moving, not uttering a word. This broke me, I quickly wrap my arms around her, not wanting to point out her silence right now. Loki and Bumpy try stroking her legs. I can see Kenji taking side glances at Y/n, noticing her silence right now.
"Mantah Corp? They're a bioengineering company; big rivals with Masrani. They tried to make dinosaurs too, but...Wu beat them to it." Darius informed.
I only felt anger, she is causing all of this, to my girlfriend, for some company?! That same company! The same company that did all those things to her?!
"You doomed us all for some lousy company? You are working for that murderous horrible company?!" I yell in anger.
"Our ranch was in trouble, so my folks had to borrow a lot of money from some...shady people. We didn't know they were fronting for Mantah Corp. They said we'd lose everything...unless I spied for them. Use the behind-the-scenes access I'd get at camp to gather info from Wu's lab, and DNA from dinos, and whatever else they needed. But then Brooklynn caught on, and I got scared, and then everything went wrong. This is the last thing I wanted to happen." Sammy informed.
Yasmina scoffed, To be next to a broken van on Killer Dinosaur Island? Hey, me, too! What are the odds?"
