CLEO WALKED IN THE ROOM AND SHOT A GLANCE AT SHERI, CLAY IGNORED HIS SISTER and kept staring at Sheri "What are you doing here?" he asked in a harsh tone
Cleo let out a sigh "I called her, she can help with him"
"Help with what?" Justin asked, obviously confused as he kept gobbling on his food
The truth was, Clay was washing Justin's clothes and found drugs, he informed Tony who thought he was an addict and now ut was the teens' job to detox him.
Sheri shot a glance at him"I've got supplies, how are you feeling?" She asked
"Fine" Justin nonchalantly answered " Supplies for what?"
The two teens didn't answer his question "When is Tony getting here?" Clay asked
Cleo sighed as she closed the door behind her "He's not coming, he's still on probation. He can't risk getting involved now that he knows about Justin"
The boy turned towards them "What about me?" he asked
"Clay found your shit and Tony thinks you're an addict and we might have to detox you" Cleo bluntly answered in a bitter tone, pleasing Justin was one of her least important occupation right now.
Justin shot the teens a glare before getting up "Fuck this !" he shouted "I'm out of here"
Cleo walked up to him, making the boy stop "We gotta help Jessica. I want Bryce locked up as much as her" she said "If you can't have the basic decency to get sober, why are you even here?" she added before walking out if the room.
When she arrived outside, Clay stopped her "What the fuck, Cleo" he angrily said, he was rrying to control his tone "Why didn't you tell me about Sheri?"
Cleo clenched her jaw "Why do you think everything is up to you, Clay?" she retorted "Because you're the only one on the tape who didn't actually hurt Hannah? Sheri could help so i called her"
"I don't-"
She didn't let him finish his sentence "You think you have every right over Hannah's life because she decided to put you on those tapes?"
"You could've-"
"Well big news Clay, the world doesn't revolve around you what happened to Hannah and Jessica doesn't concern you in any way"
Clay clenched his jaw "What about you?" he asked
With that Cleo hopped on her bike "You're not a hero, Clay" she said as she drove away from her brother, Clay clenched his haw as he looked around, she was right, he couldn't save everyone, he wasn't a hero. He couldn't be a hero.

Cleo was sitting with Alex at lunch, she looked around. "I never asked you about it" Alex said "how did your parents react when you woke up" he asked
Cleo frowned. They always avoided talking about their attempts but nevertheless she answered the question "They were relieved" she answered "I mean, now they're walking on eggshells around me, like i was breakable" she added "I hate that look"
"Tell me about it" Alex added "They look at me with so much pity, not fucking knowing what to say, you don't have any long lasting injuries while me, i'm a cripple"
Cleo was about to answer when Zach walked up to them with his stuff in his arms "Hey guys, can i sit here ?" he asked as he sat down, not waiting for an answer
Cleo looked at the jocks "Wouldn't you rather hang out with your non-depressive friends?" She nonchalantly asked
Zach paused "No, i like my depressing friends just fine" he answered
"Good for you man" Alex said as he sipped on his juice, he suddenly dropped the juice which Cleo caught before it fell on the table, Alex stared at the drops of juice that managed to fall on the table before shaking his head.
Cleo looked at him, concerned "You okay?" she asked, putting a hand on his shoulder
The boy snapped out of his thoughts "Yeah, just remembered something" he answered "Almost remembered something" he corrected
Zach stared at something behind the two teens, Cleo followed his gaze, Monty was looking at them, she pointed her middle finger, the boy clenched his jaw and turned around.
When the trio walked in class, they were stopped by Jessica, she rushed to them "hey guys, what are you doing right now? Do you wanna ditch with me?" she asked
"I'll buy the beer" Cleo said as she got up from her chair, Alex agreed and got up, Jessica shot a glance at Zach, waiting for his approval.
"Is everything okay?" Alex asked
Jessica let out a chuckle "Yeah, totally i just need to get out of here"
Zach looked back and fourth between his friends "Guys, i cannot skip this class" he said
Jessica shot a glance at him "We need you" she said
"Your car" Cleo corrected
"Both" Jessica said "Look if we can't have you can we maybe get your car?"
The boy pulled the keys out of his pocket "Only if Jess drives" he said
"It's an automatic" Alex said, outraged by his exclusion "My right foot works" he pleaded, making Cleo let out a chuckle
Zach blankly stared at him "Only if Jess drives" he said as he handed the keys to Jessica, and that's how the three teens ended up in Zach's car.
Cleo spread her hands and ignored the teens' conversation in the front seats, she vibed to the song, when they arrived to Cresmont, they got out of the car and walked in.
"I haven't seen a movie in so long" Jessica said "I'm having all the pop corn"
Cleo looked at the two teens "I'm gonna buy the beer" she said and walked away, when she came back with the beers, she shot a look at the store, the store that belonged to Hannah's parents, she wanted to apologize.
"Should we go to the Baker's store?" she asked
Jessica and Alex shot each other a look before getting up, when they walked in the store, Hannah's mom raised her head. "Hey, there" she greeted
"We just wanted to say hi and see how you're doing" Alex said
The woman anxiously joined her hands "I'm doing okay" she said "Thank you, some days are better than others, i guess. I'm happy to see you both, how are you Alex and Cleo, i've been thinking about since i saw you at the deposition"
"We're fine" Cleo simply answered "I actually came here to apologize" she added as she shot a look to Jessica and Alex
The two teens looked at each other "We're just gonna look around" Jessica said before dragging Alex with her
Cleo turned to Hannah's mom "I wanna apologize" Cleo repeated "Hannah was my" she hesitated, could she reveal her relationship with Hannah? "friend" she finally said "and i didn't even give her a chance to explain what happened in the hot tub and accused her of something outrageous"
"Cleo-" Mrs. Baker started
"I'm really sorry, Hannah could've used a friend and maybe if i was there it wouldn't have ended like that" Cleo interrupted as a sob died in her throat.
Mrs. Baker walked out behind the counter and wrapped her hands around the girl "It's not your fault" she said, as she ran a hand through the girl's hair.
Someone suddenly walked in the store, Cleo shot a glance to Hannah's dad, she shifted to Hannah's mom gave her a smile before walking away, Alex and Jessica followed her out of the store.
"I should probably get home" Cleo said, she handed the bottle of beers to Jessica before walking away, the two teens watched her leave before shooting each other a glance.
