CLEO WAS SITTING IN HER ROOM WHEN HER MOM SOFTLY KNOCKED ON THE DOOR, LAINIE WALKED IN THE ROOM, Cleo didn't say anything, ever since she woke up, she kept trying everything to avoid her parents, she couldn't look in their eyes the same way she used to, but she couldn't avoid their stares forever.

"Honey, remember the rule about closed doors?..." Lainie started before seeing her daughter's grimace at the nickname, since she woke up in the hospital bed, things were weird her mom and her dad were all talking in that soft tone, like they didn't wanna speak too loud, like she was a frightened animal "Cleo, i need to talk to you about the trial"

"Hannah's?" Cleo asked, her mom nodded and sat next to her on the bed

"It's moving forward, we thought it was settled but the Bakers rejected the district's final offer today" she said 

"When does the trial begin?" Cleo asked

"Tomorrow, you were called to testify by the school" Lainie revealed, Cleo raised her head at these words

"The school? Why?"  Cleo asked "and Clay?" 

"He wasn't on either witness list, each sides choses witnesses based on a variety of factors" Cleo simply said, she tensed up when her reached out for her hand but she didn't pull away "You're gonna be okay, i will prepare you for this" she said

"Okay" Cleo simply said, her mom got up and walked out of the room, she opened the door and stared at her daughter 

"Do you think school tomorrow is a good idea?" Her mom asked

"Me, Jessica and Alex are going together, i promised them, i haven't got out of the house since i came back and i'm sick and tired of hiding"

Her mom nodded before walking out of the room, she came back "Don't you think you should start talking to Dr. Ellman?"

 Cleo blankly stared at the woman who nodded "Got it" she said and walked out of the room, it didn't take long for Cleo to hear Skye's bike outside, Cleo waited for him to walk in.

"Hey" he said "How you doing?" 

"I'm gonna testify in the trial for the school..." Cleo awkwardly said 

"Yeah, mom told me" Clay said

He hesitantly walked towards hi sister and sat beside her, he looked around the room, it was as big as his, almost identical but his sister's room had less decorations, she simply had a poster of Mozart on the ceiling.

 "Jessica told me who the other girl on tape nine was" he revealed 

"Yeah, i figured" Cleo answered "you listened to my tape"

"Yes." Clay answered "I know it's probably a no but if you ever wanna talk about anything you can come to me" he said

Cleo slightly raised her head, Clay put a hand on her shoulder, before getting up and leaving the room. Everyone acted the same way around her, careful, like they thought she was too breakable, Clay was angry at her for what she did to Hannah, but he didn't say anything. Cleo slid under the covers, tomorrow was the big day, she was ready, she was going back to school.

Cleo walked in the school, trying her best to ignore the stares the students shot at her, of course they knew what happened, it was a small town and in a town like that, a private life wasn't much of an option, she kept looking around until someone called out to her.
