Excitement fluttered in Taekjoo's stomach like a swarm of butterflies as the plane touched down in Moscow, Russia.

They had traveled halfway around the world, from the bustling streets of Seoul to the snow-dusted countryside of Taekjoo's grandparents' estate, just to spend the holidays together.

But the thrill of returning to this winter wonderland was overshadowed by the anticipation of seeing his cousin, Leewon.

Though they both lived in Korea they never saw eachother because they lived in different parts of Korea and since they were both busy with work they rarely have any time to see eachother.

The reunion was everything Taekjoo had hoped for. Warm hugs, laughter, and a familiar camaraderie that transcended years of distance.

The festive decorations brightened the frosty landscape, Taekjoo helped his grandmother make some cookies while Leewon was outside talking with their grand-dad meanwhile his and Leewon's parents were catching up.

It was Two nights before Christmas but their grandparents filled the table with food, it looked impossible to eat all of this, well that was was Leewon thought he doesn't really eat much but not for Taekjoo, bro eats alot probably thats why he looks healthy and kinda buff.

"Eat up boys there's more if you want" Their grandma pats their heads giving them a kiss on their forehead

"Thanks grandma" The two chorused

They had a wonderful feast though It wasn't Christmas.

The night was still young as the boys were unable to sleep.

They had chosen to share a room tho they had their own separate rooms

"Yo Taekjoo" Leewon sat up after unsuccessfully trying to sleep

"Mmmh?" Taekjoo turns around slurping noodles

"Seriously? Don't you ever not eat'' Leewon rolled his eyes laughing lightly

"Hey hey, how do you think i got all.... this" Taekjoo stood up gesturing to his body, raising his shirt to show his toned abs

"Yeah sure whatever mehn, remember the river close by we use to go as kids?"

"Yeah i remember, what about it " Taekjoo raised an eyebrow low-key trying to convince himself inwardly that Leewon didn't want to ask him about going there by this time of the night.

"Wanna go there, now" Leewon smiled

"Firstly, You're out of your fucking mind if you think I'm going outside by this time of the night, secondly it's freezing, bro no way" Taekjoo slurped his noodles

"C'mon just like old times" Leewon rests his head on the pillow

"Except old times we go out during the day and we went on summer breaks not when it's snowing bro " Taekjoo wasn't having It he doesn't like the cold

"C'mon dude let's just go, let's just say we're....um..trying a new experience." Leewon persuaded

"Mehnn i don't know it's pretty cold "

"C'mon pleeeeeeease" Leewon gave puppy eyes

"Ugh fuck fine stop you look like an idiot" Taekjoo left to keep the empty plate in the kitchen

"Let's go" Leewon opened the door gesturing Taekjoo to go out first

"And where are you going excatly, young men?"

The boys flinched as they turned around seeing their grandma.

"O-oh grandma what're you doing here, I mean awake" Leewon glances at Taekjoo to say something.

Taekjoo and their grandparents got along better honestly. Especially their grandma probably because he eats everything she makes and helps in the kitchen while Leewon.... not so much
But she does love him too.

"It's my house genius, and what're you two still doing up" Grandma rested her hands on her waist

Taekjoo decided to answer this time, he went close to his grandma placing a hand on her shoulder

"Granny, were going to the river close by"

Leewon was speechless, bro just uprightly snitched.
They were never going to be allowed since it was this late.
Yeah they're adults now but they'll be forever be kids in their grandparents eyes.

"By this time of the night Taek dear?" She furrowed her eyebrows

"Yes grandma and don't worry it's not like we're going to swim we just wanna go there and have a Cousin bonding y'know how close me and leewon are gran" Taekjoo smiled to his grandma

She sighed going outside as she looked at the full moon her expression grim, she shook her head turning back to face the boys, she walks past them and they followed her behind. They were now outside.

"I guess it can't be helped, be careful my babies" She gave a soft smile the corner of her eyes wrinkles.

"Thanks grandma, you're the best. Don't tell mom" Taekjoo gave her a hug and so did Leewon

As they walked away she watched their backs until they disappeared into the darkness their flashlights seen in the distance along with their silhouette.

"They left?" The grandpa came out seeing his wife staring at the moon

"Yes" she sighs.

Her husband gave her a hug as they both went inside.
