Masons POV

"Hey nerd." I chuckle as i sit next to y/n. She clicks her pen against her notebook "Hi giant." she smiles. 'Gosh her smile is so pretty. I could never imagine what she looks like sad.' I thought. "Im not the tall okay?! Maybe you're just short." i sigh into a smile. "Nuh uh! You're just a freakishly tall." she pouts playfully. "You're just short. Dont worry, you'll never get a growth spurt." I ruffle her hair.

" Whatever. Guys like short girls. I dont know if girls like cocky little boys." she pouts. "I personally like taller girls. You know? so i dont hurt my back kissing them." I shake my head. She shrugs and looks behind me.

"Looks like its gunna rain.." she mumbles. She looks down at her thin shirt and shorts. She lets out a long frustrated groan. "Whats so bad about some rain.." i shrug. "Whats so bad? Look at what im wearing im not in an outfit for a rainy day." she giggles. I look at shorts and blush a bit, my breathing hitches in my throat to a thought.

I shake my head "Oh uh... sounds like you problem." i chuckle "Whatever.." she groans. The bell rings as the teacher starts her lecture.

After school

I walk out to the parking lot. i grab my car keys to unlock my car door. but i stop, 'Whats that sound..' i turn around to see.... y/n...

My heart sinks as she sobs. her soft sobs fills my ears. shes soaked. Shes shivering. 'Why wouldn't she just go home...' i wonder as i walk over there with an umbrella. "Y/n?"

I cover her head with the umbrella. I kneel down to look at her. "Shh... you're safe. just breathe.." i rub her back. "Breathe... in and out.." I whisper. she looks at me, her adorable nose all red. She sniffs and speaks up "M..mason.." her voice almost a whisper. "Yes, im here.." I smile.

I take off my jacket and hand it to her. "Wear it.." i smile. She nods and puts it on, it swallows her whole. She looks up at me. "do you want to talk about why your crying and why your as cold as ice..?" i give a gentle smile.

'Even when shes sad shes beautiful.'

She tries to talk, although her words are so mixed in with tears i cant understand her. "Cry first and talk later. But i want you to know that im here for you, i care about you, and i love you."

'Holy moly.. did i tell y/n that i love her...'

She freezes, her soft red eyes looks up at me "Did.." she   mumbles. shes wipes her tears with the back of her hand. "Did.." She starts again.

"I did."

"I do too.."

"You mean it? you love me..like more than friends.."

"Obviously..."

"I love you, Mason.."

"I love you more... y/n."

I pull her into a tight hug. I play with some of her hair, "Now can we finally date it feels like ive waited forever." i smile. she wipes her tears. "Lets get you home?" I smile "Sure nerd."
