YUME'S POV:

On a typical day, I would find myself scrolling through social media in boredom, mindlessly consuming endless content. On this day, I received a text from a stranger who introduced himself as Park Jaehun, a university student and part-Korean and part-Japanese. Unsure of whether to trust someone from online, I decided to reply and learn more about him. It turned out that we both shared a love for Korean pop music, and we spent the day chatting about our favorite artists and songs. Despite my initial hesitation, I found myself enjoying our conversations and getting to know Jaehun a little better. However, as with any online interaction, I was also aware that I needed to be cautious.

The following day, I went to school and shared my exciting news with my best friend, Yori. She was excited to learn that I had been talking to a boy and encouraged me to continue our conversation. However, I found myself uncomfortable with the idea of boy-girl relationships, and the sight of couples roaming around made me feel nauseated. Despite this, I decided to continue talking with Jaehun, and our daily conversations became a part of my routine.

Over time, we grew closer and shared more personal details about our lives. Our friendship evolved into an outlet for us to confide in each other, and I found myself looking forward to our conversations every day.
