One day, I went to the grocery store to pick up some supplies. Walking down the aisles, I couldn't help but notice some strawberries in a corner, which immediately reminded me of my friend, Park Jaehun. Known for his affinity for the fruit, I decided to purchase some and then jokingly tease him about it. After making my purchase, I headed back home and immediately sent Jaehun a text. "Guess what?" I prodded, wanting to get a reaction out of him. He responded with a simple "Hm?" I then sent him a photo of the strawberries, telling him that I was going to enjoy them while teasing him further. Although I was playing around with him, I couldn't help but think about how we had grown closer over time, sharing stories and confiding in each other when things got rough.

When Jaehun mentioned that someone had asked him out on a date, I couldn't help but feel a twinge of jealousy. Suddenly, the thought of losing him to someone else consumed my thoughts. However, he quickly put those worries to rest by telling me that he had rejected the person's proposal. Still, seeing Jaehun's photo only made me realize just how much I had grown to care about him. While our relationship was entirely platonic at that point, I couldn't help but admit to myself that I found him handsome. As I told him so, the conversation took a turn for the unexpected. I asked if I could see him, to which he hesitantly agreed. Although he may not have considered himself particularly attractive, he still took the time to send me a photo of himself, which led to an endearing realization of my feelings towards him. However, Jaehun's sudden departure left me with a bittersweet feeling in the pit of my stomach, as I had just come to terms with the fact that I had feelings for him. Still, as I drifted off to sleep while thinking about our past conversations, I couldn't help but hold on to the hope that we would continue to grow closer in the future.
