It was a bright and sunny morning when I woke up and checked the time on my phone. Suddenly, a message from Jaehun popped up on my phone. "Good morning beautiful." I smiled to myself as I read his message, and then I jumped out of bed to wake up my best friend, Yori.
"Good morning, sleepyhead!" I said with a yawn as I stretched. "It's time to get ready for school."
Yori sighed and dragged herself out of bed. I also wasn't looking forward to going to school today, but I knew I had to get ready. Just as I was about to reply to Jaehun, my mom called me downstairs.
"Yume, are you ready for the summer vacation? When does it start?" she asked.
"Um, tomorrow. Why?" I asked her, feeling a little nervous.
"Oh, we're going on a trip! Your cousins are going to be there too," my mom told me. "Pack your things after school today and we'll leave early tomorrow."
I felt a lump form in my throat. I hate going on trips, not to mention the fact that I hate socializing with people. I was about to complain when Yori walked downstairs, giving me a funny look.
"Guess who I am talking with " she asked, with a smirk
"Jaehun?"
"Yesh!"
As we got ready for school, I couldn't help but think about the trip. Is something going to happen? Or am I just overthinking? No matter how I felt, I knew I had to go on the trip with my family. I just hoped everything would go smoothly.
