Yume's POV:

As we sat at the cafe, I was taken by surprise when a girl suddenly appeared beside our table. Jaehun didn’t seem particularly shocked, but he stared at her with a look of frustration. Before I could say anything, the girl made a disgusted face and, without warning, threw a glass of water directly at Jaehun.

"HOW DARE YOU G—" she began to yell, but before she could finish her sentence, I grabbed my drink and splashed it on her.

I was furious, though I wasn’t sure why. Maybe it was just instinct. The girl stood there, drenched, looking like she was ready to retaliate. Before things could escalate further, Jaehun stepped in, stopping her from making more of a scene. The two of them locked eyes, both clearly fuming. I took a deep breath and grabbed Jaehun's arm, trying to calm myself down.

"Is this... HOW CAN YOU!?" the girl shouted, drawing more attention from everyone around us. People in the cafe started staring, whispering among themselves.

“Stop the drama,” Jaehun said, his voice cold. “I told you before, I’m done with you.”

Before the girl could lash out again, the cafe’s security guards came over and escorted her out. She left, still screaming something incoherent, sounding like a cartoon character throwing a tantrum. As soon as she was gone, Jaehun grabbed my bag and my hand, pulling me outside.

He didn’t say anything for a while, just walked silently down the street until we reached a nearby bench. He sat down heavily, running his hands through his hair in frustration. I could see how disappointed he looked, his usual confident demeanor fading. I approached him slowly, feeling awkward but wanting to help. I took out my handkerchief and knelt beside him.

“J-Jae?” I said softly.

He looked up, his eyes softening as his frustration melted away. I carefully wiped his face with the handkerchief, trying not to meet his eyes directly.

“What did you just call me?” he asked, smiling slightly.

“Uh... Jae?” I repeated, realizing what I had said.

He chuckled, his mood lifting. He gently took my hand. “Hmm... I like the nickname,” he said, his voice lighter now.

I blushed, but at least I had managed to make him smile. We both sat on the bench, the tension slowly fading.

“Are you okay? Did she hurt you?” Jaehun asked, his voice filled with concern.

I nodded quickly. “I’m totally fine. She didn’t touch me.”

“Oh, thank God,” he sighed in relief.

“Who was that girl, anyway?” I asked, frowning. “Why did she splash water on you?”

Jaehun hesitated, then said, “Who do you think?”

I gave him a sharp look. “Ex?”

“Are you jealous?” he teased, grinning.

“Nah, I just don’t tolerate animal cruelty,” I shot back, crossing my arms.

“Animal cruelty?” he raised an eyebrow.

“She splashed water on you, so it counts as animal cruelty,” I replied, trying to hide my smile.

“Am I an animal now?” he asked, laughing.

“So what? Are you an alien?” I teased, turning away dramatically.

“Nope,” he said, leaning closer. “I’m the animal, and you’re my alien.”

“Stop calling me an alien!” I protested, but I couldn’t help laughing a little.

“I won’t. What are you gonna do about it, hmm?”
