The Park

Noelle POV

"Well now, here I am taking this human I just met to the park. It's strange enough that I'm even doing this. But something inside me is telling me to do this. I wondered what Y/N thinks about m- I meant the Town! It's not the biggest place, but the forest that surrounds the town is beautiful. The orange leaves on the trees and the beach nearby. Oh, this place is amazing. Huh?"

I then came back to reality after speaking to myself. I almost forgot that Y/N was behind, following me. I turned around and looked at him. "His eyes are so- No! Forget it"

Noelle: "Oh sorry... I was blacking out there for a moment..."

Y/N: "It's... alright."

I gently gave him a small smile as I continued to walk.

"Great, now he might think I'm weird or something. Forget it. Just keep walking. The park is close by."

I said in my head, trying to calm myself down. A few minutes pass and we're finally setting foot on the nice park grass. A beautiful fountain in the middle and a nice Pond next to it.

Noelle: "We're here!"

I said with excitement. The park in hometown was a wonderful place to be in. A lot of good memories I had here.

Y/N: "Well, it's a nice little place in this town. It's quite empty though"

Noelle: "Heh... Yeah, most townsfolk don't come here that much."

He was right, the park is always empty. The only time when it's full of monsters is at events in this town. That's all.

Y/N: "But hey, It's great for us. We're alone here together."

I started to blush after he said that.

"We're alone... together... Just the two of us."

Y/N: "Uhhh, Noelle? Are you there?"

I snapped back to reality. I quickly shake my head, trying to get rid of my red face. I looked back at Y/N with a small goofy smile.

Noelle: "Me? I'm fine... Don't worry"

Y/N: "Okay... Let's just go find a spot to sit"

Y/N said as he started to walk to the nearest bench.

"Now Noelle, don't do anything stupid-"

But I ignored myself as I ran up to him and gently grabbed his hand.

Y/N: "Huh? What... is it Noelle?"

"What am I doing!? Are you Crazy Noelle!?"

I yelled at myself in my head. Why am I doing this?

Noelle: "I... I..."

I started to stutter. what can I do to make this less weird?

Noelle: "I... wanted us to sit underneath a tree...?"

I said as I slightly blushed.

"Really? Sitting underneath a tree? Is that all I could think of?"

I looked up at Y/N. Luckily, he didn't have a weirded-out face or anything. But I did notice a small smile on his face. And is that blush on his cheeks?

Y/N: "Well, I wouldn't mind sitting underneath a tree with you."

Y/N said. My red face got worse when I heard him.

Noelle: "R-Really? I mean, Great! Let's... go find... a nice spot to sit and relax."

I said as my hand continued to cling to his. I gently pulled him with me.

"Oh my! He agreed!"

I gently pulled him to the nearest tree. My hand still held his hand tightly.

Y/N: "You know you can let go now..."

I noticed that I was still holding his hand. Took me a while to let go.

Noelle: "S-sorry..."

I quickly sat down on the nice grass and leaned back on the tree. Y/N soon follow by sitting next to me... closely. My ears perked up when I heard Y/N saying something.

Y/N: "You know, it's quite surprising that we're here now."

Noelle: "Huh? What do you mean by that?"

I said with a confused tone.

Y/N: "Well you know, I never thought I would be in a town full of monsters. And now even hanging out with one."

I let out a small chuckle when he said that.

Noelle: "That's probably what Kris first thought about this town. But he got used to it, and so will you."

I said softly, it must be hard for a change like this.

Y/N: "I hope so, everyone here is so nice. I'm just trying..."

Then everything went blank for me. The only thing I could focus on was his shoulder. We were still sitting underneath the tree. Our backs leaning against the tree. His shoulder looks so comfortable.

"Maybe he won't mind if I just..."

I sucked it up as I placed my head on his shoulder. Surprisingly, my antlers didn't get in the way. Even more surprisingly, Y/N didn't seem too annoyed or mad about it.

Y/N: "Well, you could have asked if you wanted to rest your head on my shoulder."

I slightly blush at his words.

Noelle: "Well... it's better that I know now than later."

I said as I continued to lay my head on his shoulder. His shoulder was so comfortable. I couldn't resist it.

Me and Y/N ended up chatting the whole afternoon underneath the tree. Us together, so close to each other. My head on his shoulder. It was wonderful. I never wanted this moment to end.
