Araelia woke up to the soft rapping of knuckles on her doors. She didn't need to ask who it was, she knew it was Margaery.

She didn't want to but she slowly found herself making her way to the doors to unlock them.

"What?" She put her fingers on the lock and held her ear against the door.

"Can i come in?" Margaery asked.

"Why?"

"I want to talk to you" Margaerys voice was soft with a hint of concern.

"Im tired of talking" Araelia answered, about to turn back around.

"Tired of talking, or tired of talking to men?" Margaery questioned.

Araelia unlocked the door and peaked throught the crack at her sister. Margaery tilted her head waiting for an answer. She sighed and opened the door enough so Margaery could walk in.

"Did you get that rest you were so ready to kill for?" She asked her sister as she used her back to close the door.

"i did" Margaery answered as she passed across the room to sit on the edge of Araelias four poster bed "Did you?"

"Barley, im surprised someone didn't come knocking on my door sooner"

Margaery hummed "who were you expecting?"

"Grandmother, maybe father" Araelia shrugged.

"Almost" Margaery laughed quietly "I had to convince them otherwise, father was in a rage"

"Thats not surprising" Araelia flopped down on her bed, face up to the canopy that hung over it.

Margaery let out a sigh and shifted her body towards her sister "i know our brother can be a pain, but Garlan was really shaken up about what you said"

"Good" Araelia responded "'Because i meant it"

"Why?" Maargaery asked softly.

Araelia turned over so her face was in the bed sheets "I dont want to talk about it"

Margaery stroked her hair as she spoke "I understand, but sometimes the only thing that can help is to talk"

Araelia lifted her head up "What makes you think i need help?"

Margaerys face softened as she looked over her sisters face. She was clearly concerned, she almost looked sad "Garlan told me what you said about us girls"

"Did he?" Araelia let her head fall back into the sheets.

"He did, and i want you to know that you dont have to go through this alone. I know its alot, and i know you feel pressured but...in this world, thats what women have to do if they want power"

Araelia felt the ichiness in her throat like she was about to cry.

Margaery stroked her hair again "Come here" She pulled her sister into her arms.

Araelia followed Margaerys directions and sat up to hug her sister. she wrapped her arms around her sister, feeling herself let go. It had been a long time since she had had a hug, she didn't know how much she needed one until now.

"I just don't understand" Araelia shook her head "why is the only thing we are useful for is childbearing? Why do women get treated as they do?"

"Men want heirs to keep their family line in check" Margaery answered "as for why they treat us like manure...I don't know"
