Personality: Caring, Kind, smart, polite, calm, reserved, creative, resourceful, skillful, brave, loving, helpful, not tolerate people abusing other people and Pokemon, reckless.

Physical Appearance: Yui has platinum blonde shoulder length hair that is tied with two red hair scrunchies into pigtails, has a short bang that rest in her forehead and swept a bit to the left side, fair peach skin, and has Aqua green eyes.

Main Outfit: Yui wears a sleeveless red hooded sweater, with a white sleeveless undershirt, yellow pants, and orange and black Velcro shoes.

Costumes: Yui wore a Slowpoke costume in A Shadow of a Drought.

Other Outfits: Yui wore a face mask in Whichever Way the Wind Blows!  Yui gym leader outfits is consists of  all red sleeve shirt and pants, orange and red knee length boots, and her hair is out of its pigtails as seen in Gaining Groundon to Octo-Gridlock at the Gym! L

Snow Outfits: Yui wore a crimson long sleeve jacket with a white scarf in The Chikorita Rescue. Yui wore a red jacket and olive pants on Freeze Frame.

Swim Outfits: Yui wore a one-piece red bathing suit with back straps and yellow stars printed all over in A Shadow of a Drought, and A Hot Water Battle.  Yui wore a light red and blue wetsuit and scuba gear in Mantine Overboard and The Mystery is History.

Backstory: Yui was raised by two loving parents who were both marine biologists who studied the oceans and the Water Type Pokemon who lived in the ocean. One day, Yui travel with her parents on their trip in search of a mythical Pokemon that lived in the ocean, with their only clue being a Silver Wing that belong to that Pokemon, when a terrible storm strike and their boat went down. Yui's parents were killed, but Yui was found alive and unharmed on the beach of Olivine Cit. She was found by a couple from Ecruteak City and took her to the Pokemon Center to get her check out.

Yui was devastate by her parents death and she was sent to live in her hometown's orphanage where she was reclusive to talk to anyone at the orphanage in fear of being hurt again. The only reminder of her parents is the Silver Wing. A orphanage volunteer came ove to Yui and told her that she was on a list for a couple who planned to adopt her when they get the papers to officially adopt her, she also told Yui that people on the list are not to be seek by other seeing parents. This surprised Yui at the information that someone already planned to adopt her and she said that she's scared to meet them and let her heart out. The Volunteer assured her that letting live in her heart is better than closing it off and that her parents would agree. Taking the advices by heart, Yui began to open her heart out to the other orphans and volunteers.

During her time in the orphanage she befriended a wild Flareon, nicknamed her Flare and took her back to the orphanage to be together. One day Yui's adopted parents came by and was surprised it was the Ecturteak couple who found her on the beach and Yui left the orphanage with Flare and her hometown where her adopted mom promised for them to come back anytime.

Yui grew up with a new life with her adopted parents and Flare. When Yui was old enough, she left to become a Pokemon Trainer and to receive get her Poké Balls and Pokédex with Flare as her partner. When Yui arrived she met Ash and his friends in a search for a kidnapped Totodile.

Watch Yui as she travels with Ash and his friends while she battles the Gym Leaders and enter the Johto League to follow her own dream of becoming Johto Fire Gym Leader that also helps and supports orphanages all around the world.
