Subhadra was absentminded in all the after marriage rituals of Yudhishthir and Devika. She was feeling something drastic was going to happen which would drag her whole family into the phrase difficult time. To her luck, none got time to enquire anything from her.
Subhadra shared a glance with Kanha who had no smile on his face. She remembered that she had noticed his changed expression since the pre marriage rituals had started. She understood that her brother knew about the upcoming, and this fact could never be underestimated no matter how much he acted unknown.
Everything wrapped up well in eyes of everyone except Kanha and Subhadra who knew the reality behind the curtain.
Next morning everyone was busy in having pleasant time while teasing Yudhishthir and Devika about their first night. Many sub topics came out from that topic, and the conversation was seeming endless.
Each sound of love silenced when Subhadra stood at the middle of the gathering. Her eyes were swollen and full of tears. Everyone rushed to her in no time.
"Why happened, Subhi? Why are you crying, my dear?" Vasudev kneeled down in front of Subhadra who was standing like a statue.
"We are losing strength to stand up even. Why are you silent? Please, say something," dau pleaded in a panicked tone.
"Jiji left from here. I couldn't find her at anywhere," her dried throat managed to utter those few words with much difficulty.
"What are you saying? How is this possible? How can any intruder enter into Indraprastha to kidnap her?" Dau couldn't comprehend the situation at first place.
"None had kidnapped her. She was so upset with all of you. She wasn't herself after Pitashri did Kanyadan of Devi jyeshtha," Subhadra explained the whole matter making each face a melancholic one.
"I tried to console her. I tried to made her understand, but no return was received. Jiji must have left, because of me. I should haven't tried to make her understand when she had the major heart break," she broke down into sobbing.
"Don't say such, Subhi. You haven't done anything, and Swasti loves you too much to misunderstood you. Surely, you aren't the reason. She couldn't even think of making you reason of anything which would hurt you," Kanha too kneeled down in front of Subhadra to support her fragile body which was ready to fall down on floor while sobbing.
"What's there in your hand, Subhi? Show that to us," extending his hand, dau took the letter from Subhadra's hand, and opened that to read.
"I had to witness the sight which I had never imagined even in my wildest dream. I hadn't expected this worst wound of my life from my family, from each and every member of my family. I can't stay here anymore since breathing in air of Indraprastha feels strangling to me. So, I am leaving. I am leaving for southern region, because I have a purpose to fulfill there," he completed reading with a chocked voice.
She left not for running away, but for accomplishing something important which intended to lead the changed turn of her life.
