It was a typical Friday night in the bustling city of Los Angeles. Tim Bradford, a detective with the LAPD, had just finished a long and exhausting week of work. As he and his colleagues from Metro gathered at their favorite bar to unwind and let off some steam, Tim couldn't help but feel a sense of nervous excitement building inside him.

As he sipped on his drink and listened to his colleagues banter and joke around, Tim's mind wandered to the woman who had been on his mind constantly lately - his girlfriend, Lucy Chen. They had been dating for over a year now, and Tim knew he was head over heels in love with her. As he watched her laugh and talk with her friends, Tim felt a warmth spread through his chest. He knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Lucy, and he had a plan to make that happen.

Taking a deep breath, Tim turned to his closest friend and partner, Jackson West, and said, "I'm going to propose to Lucy this weekend."

Jackson's eyes widened in surprise. "Are you serious, man? That's huge!"

Tim nodded, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "I've never been more sure of anything in my life. I love her, Jack. And I want to make her my wife."

Jackson clapped him on the back, a proud smile on his face. "I'm happy for you, Tim. Lucy is a great woman, and you two are perfect for each other."

As the night went on, Tim found himself lost in thoughts of Lucy, imagining the look of joy and love on her face when he got down on one knee and asked her to be his forever. He couldn't wait to start a life with her, to build a future together filled with love, laughter, and happiness.

The weekend arrived quickly, and as Tim and Lucy spent a relaxing day together, he couldn't contain his nerves any longer. Taking her hand in his, he led her to a beautiful spot overlooking the city at sunset. With tears in his eyes and a trembling voice, Tim poured his heart out to Lucy, telling her how much she meant to him and how he couldn't imagine his life without her.

And then, with shaking hands, Tim pulled out a small velvet box from his pocket, opening it to reveal a sparkling diamond ring. "Lucy Chen," he whispered, his voice filled with emotion, "will you marry me?"

Tears of happiness filled Lucy's eyes as she threw her arms around Tim, nodding enthusiastically. "Yes, Tim Bradford, a million times yes!"

And as they sealed their love with a tender kiss, Tim knew that his life was complete with Lucy by his side. They were destined to be together, forever and always. And as they looked out at the city lights twinkling below them, Tim felt a sense of peace and contentment wash over him. He was finally where he was meant to be - in the arms of the woman he loved more than anything in the world.
