The world looks white

One day, when i looked at the sky i was dumbfounded by what my eyes were laying upon the vast blue.

An amorphous clog of flashing darkness which extended through the horizon that opened and seemed to move alongside the sun, interconnect with itself but separated at the same time like clouds in the sky, squirming like a worm in open air.

There was nothing that could possibly explain it, so i've decided to for once in my life watch the news to see what was happening.

Nobody could explain it, and to being quite honest...

Expect what would happen.

Scientists tried to investigate it, planes and probes were sent to the odd atmospheric phenomenon to send some form of clarification to what that thing was.

They stopped working as soon as they were close enough.

Many days passed.

Conspiracy theories emerged on the internet and religions all over the world started getting followers due to what seemed to be the end of the days.

Watching closely from the comfort of my home, i observed the thing above each morning and each night to see if anything ever happened.

The "Shadow Phenomenon" as it was called by officials seemed to act like a spider web that connected different blots of pitch black mass to each other, it seemed like it was preparing to do something, meanwhile i started to stream more often due to my day job having be closed for undisclosed reasons.

3 years passed by.

The whole company i worked on had been closed because a strange sack of red flesh made home in a pillar that sent the whole building down.

That was not a isolated incident, whatever that was started appearing everywhere that followed these conditions: a dark place with high umidity and infertile soil.

There was no doubt about it, whatever that thing was it was growing these seeds of God knows what on Earth for reasons beyond us. But whatever it was, i owned it a big thank you gift card for making me a somewhat content creator, so there wasn't major concerns for me aside from the possible end of the world.

As time went on, life went back to normal as if nothing ever happened aside from the new morning sky we had to now witness as something that always was there. I'm pretty sure the gijinkas of it treated it as a cool beauty of mysterious motives and unknown purposes, that slowly became one of a social ankward girl with autistic tendencies that soon enough, was considered cringe.

Still, she became popular enough to become the mascot of unnatural occurrences on the history of mankind, i'm pretty sure that Kurophen-chan was marked down as the the mascot with the weirdest of reasons to be a mascot of anything ever.

My channel was growing, so that was all that mattered to me while all of this supernatural crap was happening worldwide so i ended up moving on as the rest of the world.

7 years had passed.

I've made my debut as a vtuber after signing a contract to be part of a smaller company that worked in my country, which being not humble at all was the jumpstart to them make it big alongside other people that isn't worth mentioning now.

The number of stuff that happened in that spam of time while working under my beloved company, yeah, it may be corny but they've grown to my icy heart of iron, could be made into a whole encyclopedia by itself.

But what matters to the story isn't sadly about my awesome career of many ups and few downs, it's the unbelievable breakthrough of science that happened when studying the "black seeds" as they were called.

Whatever those things were, they were alive and were forming into a sort of life form beyond what we have ever witnessed aside from eels.

I couldn't possibly explain how they worked and what lead to this discovery of the century because at the time it was something that younger me honestly had no interest, but, somehow that lead to the creation of robots.

You heard me right, robots ended being a common thing because of those sacks of flesh, who would've guessed? Anyway, it seems they could be harvested and grown into lab just like plants and even be controlled like how you control muscles.

With low voltages of electricity at the right places, but without the need for blood and other fluids we couldn't harvest for some pretty obvious reasons. In short words, the perfect stuff to be used as a replacement for bionic arms and plastic legs.

It was easier and cheaper to produce due to the fact that it could be grown anywhere and harvested as easily, because it turns it's pretty resilient and can be molded if you know how to.

4 years had passed.

I've met many internet celebrities at a many cons i could afford to go due to being rich, none of course knew my fame due to the non disclosure contract i had, but they've met me and that's what really counts.

Technology was fastly becoming more like how you see in science fiction and cyberpunk and other derivatives of those, we didn't had flying cars or floating screens but cyborgs were normal and internet was fast as it could be, the last one for me particular for aforementioned reasons now that i think about it.

Now then, it's all been blooming fields flowers and good times so far but that's because those were the calm days of relaxing waves before the storm that was approaching. Remember how i said robots were now a thing? They were because the black seeds were used as material for their exoskeleton and other components.

About the same time the robots were at the last steps of their beta testing, a event that would impact the rest of my days and what would become of me happened: i was run over by a car and had to be sent to the hospital because i ended up hitting my head and entering a coma...
