There she is, her figure hidden beneath light white sheets. I hate to admit this but she does look gorgeous her face is that of a fair maiden with beautiful lips and... what am i thinking?!

I can't deny her appearance makes my heart skip a beat when she comes swinging her hips like she owns this place, the way she sways her legs like a dancer when walking and then taps her hands aand feet at a certain rhythm, yes, it's as if she's ready to dance at a gjven command...

"When she is so quiet, her face looks way more beautiful than usual, doesn't she, my lord?" I look at this maid who can't keep things for herself, if she wasn't so together with that woman...

This remark makes me think of how much this woman is always jumping around the castle, humming like bird everywhere she goes. How come she's so happy? She never goes anywhere nor does she seems to be reading at any time...

A rasp coughing interrupts my mind and i look over that little old man, his face so filled with wrinkles i can't tell what he's thinking.

"This is unusual. Her pulse is normal and i don't seem to be detecting any sort of curse over her soul. In facy, it feels like she does not have a soul at all!"

No soul... she doesn't have soul...

"No soul!? This cannot be!" Is this old man out of his mind!? Did i order to bring someone to cure that woman out of her psychosis and have been brought someone without one himself!?

"By all means, that's is indeed something that cannot- or rather, shouldn't be. A body as you both i'm sure are aware, is composed of both the body and the soul. The soul channels mana through a person's body and maintains it's body while the body feeds the soul mana through various ways. However, lady Jacosta here seems to be devoid of a soul on her body."

No, she could only be a soulless if she was a undead but, she's definitely alive, she thinks and is able to hold conversations, not a mindless savage undead...!

"Doctor..." the maid reaches forward to touch that woman in the face, her wrist is trembling and her face seems to be hesitant.

I can't take any risks, so i hold her arm firmly.

"Clara, do not touch her until the doctor is done."

It's uncomfortable to say the least to be in this room while the doctor chants and emits a faint light from his palm, not because i'm afraid something is gonna happen, but because Clara is hugging me so tight i can feel her poorly disguised sobs.

I'm not good to be emotional support...

The old man stops, his gaze firm upon that woman who is laying without a care in her own little world...

"My lord, this situation is..."

A second of silence befalls on us, not a singular breath is taken before he opens his mouth again, even though this is getting more out of hand than i predicted this situated is perfectly fine.

He opens his mouth...

Clara gets loose of her grip...

I hold my breath, ready to take the news....

One final look towards that woman, but...

"WHAT THE-" The sheets lunge towards me and cover both me and Clara before something fly at a high speed from the bed, moving past our heads like a bird.

It flew past so at sudden that i fell back towards the ground with Clara in my arms, we both entangled like this stupid cloth is a fish net, a loud sound of glass breaking behind us.

"Wha...! My lady!" She must be truly loyal to her if she's more concerned with that woman than she is with herself, but this is not the time!

I hold the sheet with a firm grip and easily rip it apart, the sound echoes in the room as we break free.

At our feet is the doctor, trying to take the cloth above us like a fisherman out of breath.

"My lord, he tries to speak in loud voice while gasping for air, your wife! She just flew through the glass windom!"

Without a second to lose, i set foot in the balcony and lean against the stone railing, the cold of it against my belly stopping my tracks while i look down trying to see her body.

"C'mon, you can't just be doing that all of sudden...!" What is the meaning of any of this?! What is this woman's plan!? I knew she was not someone trustable!

I feel a light tug in my sleeve.

"My lord, up there!" Clara look up with her shaky eyes with a firm glare up at the sky, the sweat in her forehead glistening before the moonlight.

My head creeps towards where she is pointing and so, before the moonlight of the full moon, i see that woman floating up, the shadow making her figure look like a little point against the full moon.

The sky seemed to bright up, lightning rumbling as if this is the last day this palace will stay standing in all of it's glory. The roar of the surge making gusts of wind flow against my body, Clara once again latched onto me but now just against my arm as she also stares in awe.

Even if i were to use my magic, she is too up in the sky for me to connect anything and even if i were to jump to try, the fall would be too much for me.

But i won't be left helpless, it's clear she is gonna come down on us without mercy, she is gonna strike us down, it was all a scheme to make us lower our guards so she could get rid of us...

"UNHAND ME WOMAN, I KNOW YOU'RE ON THIS TOO!" This filthy maid is nothing but a distraction now, i know this is insanity, but extreme situations take extreme measures...

Stepping up in the stone, i calculate the power needed for this endeavor, bend my legs and soon enough i am flying towards that woman, probably a one way trip...

When i approach her, the thunder and wind rage with even more violence when i charge my fire magic, both my palms with a fiery flame that no storm could ever hope to extinguish!

"JACOSSSSTTTTTAAAAAA!!!" my words echo through the sky, and finally i see her more closely. My flames are prepared, i aim towards my enemy and burn my mana to make a massive explosion.
