"THANK YOU..TRULY, THANK YOU, HELAENA..."

KING'S LANDING, EVENING.

Not sparing a second glance to anyone else at the table, Helaena and Roselyn sit side-by-side, whispering to each other like two gossiping children. The room was less tense than before, more warm and noticeably welcomed by everyone. Sharing a hushed laugh with each other, Aegon's jealousy bubbled up further at the sight before him, the hunger and longing to take what Helaena had was clawing at him. He wanted it, he wanted it like a toddler wanted its sibling toy. His eye twitched as Roselyn covers her mouth with her hand, soft giggles escaping her lips. It was a sweet sound, but knowing that Helaena was the one making her laugh made him livid.

Letting out a sharp breath, he tried to hide the emotions bubbling up in him, not wanting anyone to know of it. The reasoning was stupid, truly. He would admit that. But, he rather let it fester inside of him than admit it aloud. Tightening his grip on the chalice of wine in his hand, he clenches his jaw as Roselyn motions for Alicent to join them, not even breaking eye contact with Helaena. The three women now chatted away warmly, like the rest of them were not even there. How could they do that? How could they just ignore him? He was the King. He was right there, sitting across from them.

"First it's our Mother, now Helaena." Aegon grumbles bitterly, "What is next, you will leave too, dear brother?"

"If you keep gorging yourself on wine, yes." Aemond states flatly, not even bothering to hide his lack of interest.

"I am not laughing." Aegon sulks, "Tis' not funny."

"I think so." Aemond nods, a hint of a smirk tugging at his lips.

"What about her is so.." Aegon struggles to find the right word, "So...so bloody special?"

"I do not know. But, so long as Helaena smiles like this once more, I do not think we should question it." Aemond argues, shaking his head softly.

Scowling deeply like a petulant child, Aegon leans back in his seat, sulking in his own self misery at the betrayal of his family. Childishly repeating Aemond's words under his breath, he knew that he was being childish, but he could not care in the slightest. Roselyn Tully or Hightower, or whatever her bloody name was⎯sauntered into the Red Keep and managed to sweep his family off their feet. It was sickening. It was annoying. Glancing back over to the other end of the table, he picks at his bottom lip with his teeth, listening to their conversation. He wanted to know what she could possibly say that had everyone swooning over her.

"Will you come with me?" Roselyn asks, "Tomorrow?"

"Where?" Helaena raises a brow, picking at her plate of food.

"To the Sept, I go every sunrise. You do not need to even pray, nor light a candle, nor do anything really. Just some company alongside your Mother would be lovely. Will you join me, your grace?" Roselyn asks, a kind smile spreading on her lips.
