Hisashi Midoriya(Aka All For One) loves his wife and son dearly and would do anything for them. Unfortunately, he had the poor misfortune of fighting All Might a few days after his son's diagnosis, leaving him without a face and needing to recover. Everyone was obviously upset by this, Inko taking it especially hard since Hisashi disappeared without a word. She soon came to the belief that he left due to Izuku being quirkless and started abusing him relentlessly.
A few years go by until Izuku finally ran away and gets adopted by All Might(After arresting Inko for abuse and neglect). All For One soon learns of what happened while he was recovering and decides to come clean to his son about why he left. But before All For One could do that, he is betrayed by everyone except for Garaki, Gigantomachia, Tomura, and Kurogiri. While he managed to escape, Garaki was captured, and without his medical expertise, All For One is slowly dying due to his failing health.
With no other option left, All For One goes to All Might and reveals everything to him, his inner circle, and Izuku. After a lengthy discussion(with an attempt at murder courtesy of Gran Torino), All Might and All For One decide to give both their quirks to their son and name Izuku as their successor.
