I was just about 16 years old when I had met the one and only Dallas Winston. The egoistical boy who troubled my life but then became part of the reason why I lived.

-

I woke up to the sound of moving trucks parking in front of my house.

The sunshine creeping through my blinds hitting me directly in the face was just wonderful.

I didn't even wanna get up. I didn't even wanna move.

My parents wanted to move somewhere more cheap because they couldn't afford living in California.

They were never good to me anyways.

They kept moving to different states to try to see if that'll help their relationship, it sure did not till I was born and more shit went down.

"Rachel! Get down here now!" My father screamed up the stairs.

Holy fuck I just knew it'd be a bad day anyway.

Since my boxes were already loaded in the truck, i grabbed my bags and headed down the stairs.

"Give me your bags and get the fuck in the car." He snatched my bags off my bag and threw them in the trunk.

My blood was already boiling from how he treated me. He was a raging alcoholic and he's acted way worse than this.

My mom on the other hand is mentally ill.

Anti-depressants and other drugs can't even help her, it's just who she is.

We drove from Los Angeles, CA to Tulsa, OK.

We made it to the new house and it already seemed like it was about to crumble down in 5 seconds.

I huffed and got out of the car and helped unload everything from the truck as well. The air in Tulsa felt much thicker than the air back in California.

This whole new setting made me crave a cigarette.

I walked away and grabbed the pack of cigarettes out of my jacket that I've been surviving off of the whole trip down here.

As i kept walking trying my very hardest to work the lighter i get stopped in my tracks.

"Hey, who are you?" A husky voice came from in front of me which made me jump back a bit.

I looked up to see a tall boy with curly hair and a devilish smile on his face.

"Didn't mean to scare you, im Bob." He grinned and reached his hand out for me to shake.

I don't know why but I've never gotten the ick so fast before.

I shivered in an unpleasant way and walked past him.

I successfully lit my cigarette and started to take long drags. Not knowing where I was going i came across a DX.

Fuck i hope they have cigarettes because I was running low.

I approached the shop, walking past a group of boys messing around and laughing.

I must've caught their eyes because as soon as i walked past, it all got quiet.

I was really weirded out. I put out my cigarette that was literally demolished and walked into the store.

"Hey could i get a pack of Marlboro Red, please." I dug into my jacket pocket and slid the cash out on the counter and looked up to see a very handsome boy with blue eyes and brown-dark hair.

"Of course." He says and hands them over to me. I nodded at him with a slight smile and headed my way out of the store.

I walked out the door to see 10 eyes glued on me. I lit my cigarette and let it hang from my mouth, staring back at them.

One of them really had an interest in me, enough to walk up to me.

He had dark brown eyes, bushy eyebrows, and shaggy yet short brown hair.

"Hey doll." His voice was so deep it made me jittery. I gulped hard and took a drag of my cigarette.

"Hi." I said in a quiet tone.

Fuck I didn't know who he was, but he was hot. Never really into white boys till he came over here.

"Never seen you around, and trust me I know everyone. You just got into town, sweetheart?" He intensely fixated his eyes on mine.

The only thing i could focus on is how he reeked with strong cologne and cigarettes. I couldn't help but blush at how close he was to me.

Get me out of here right now.

"Dal, leave her alone." A voice said over from afar.

It was a boy who had puppy dog eyes, a blue Jean jacket and with a scar on his face. He walked over hands in his pockets.

He seemed really reserved, kept to himself.

"I'm sorry about him. He is usually like this." The boy nervously said and this so called 'Dal' scoffed.

"don't worry about it." I nodded and walked off and I heard the boys going crazy as I turned the corner onto a street that seemed to be familiar.

I got the full intentions of that guy now. He usually was known for going up to girls and talking to them like that.

Great now I just know to stay away from him.

It was getting dark out and I started to shiver with the cold crisp breeze.

I tried lighting a cigarette but there was no use. I recognized the house I'll be living at instantly, but forgot how to get home.

A red mustang came down the road, thank god it's my only hope to get home.

Oh boy did I think wrong.
