By the time we got to Connecticut I had finally cleaned off all of the bunnies and kitties off of my weapons. Malcolm was smiling the whole way while I was scowling. Malcolm drove me to the train station where Naomi was coming in. The terminal was deserted. Malcolm branched off a few minutes earlier and headed to the bathroom to hack the cameras.

Malcolm buzzed in, “Ace I found Naomi on the west wing.”

“Okay I’m there to so this should be interesting.” The uncertainty of the situation was torturous. Every time I rounded a corner braced for the impact of a razor sharp dart that would bury itself into my forehead.  I went left then right then right again. Suddenly I saw a silhouette ghosting its way from pillar to pillar. I inhaled sharply and ducked around a corner. I needed this assassination to be flawless; Naomi could lose me pretty easily. Plus she had the upper hand. All she had to do was escape at the nearest exit.

I took a deep breath and started after her. I followed her around for a while and she didn’t notice me. Finally I was about to draw my gun when Naomi wheeled around and I was forced to dive frantically behind a ticket booth. Three darts flew where I was standing milliseconds before. I was breathing heavy, and I heard Naomi’s voice.

“I know you’re here Ace!” she called. I glanced up at the chrome support beams and used it as a mirror. Naomi was getting closer. I had to take a risk and get in the open. I lunged out from behind the stand, took aim and shot. The bullet barely missed Naomi’s shoulder. Oh shoot, I was a sitting duck. Naomi threw a dart in a fraction of a second. The razor sharp blade sliced through the skin of my forearm like it was butter. Then another one impaled my ear piece. I cried out and dropped my gun. I glanced up and Naomi was almost on me with two daggers.

Hastily I pulled out my Knife and parried, blocked and stabbed frantically. I managed to disarm her of one knife but I was still out matched. I started to tire but for some reason she never went for a killing blow. She went with a downward slash that would have skewered me but I sidestepped. For a fraction of a second Naomi was off balance and I stabbed hard but she blocked and disarmed me. Naomi got up and I landed a quick upper cut with my left arm. She recovered with blinding speed and sent a spinning back kick and then a reverse knife arm, both struck home. With my right I went to slam the butt of my hand on her nose. This was the blow that would finish Naomi off. Unfortunately she saw it coming and caught my fingers. She picked up one of her daggers and just when I thought she was going to finish me off she yelled, “are you mad? I’m trying to help you here.”

I was stunned. I must have shown it because Naomi had to snap several times before I said anything.

“Oh” was all I could manage. I snapped out of it and said “Thanks for not killing me."

“I win that round Miner, let’s go find Malcolm.” She said. "

Yeah we should get going before people get here… especially security guards. I’m already wanted in New York. And Maine” I replied. We picked up our weapons and walked out the south exit. Malcolm was waiting and jumped when he saw Naomi walking in stride with me. We got in our “barrowed” car and Malcolm exploded with questions. “Why did I lose connection with you?” (When I answered that he was kind of upset.) “How did Naomi get on our side?” and the most important one “What do we do now?”We sat in silence for a bit and Naomi finally pointed out that nobody ever said that we had to kill Daniel before Salem, heck let’s get on over to Maine! We all agreed that the sooner we got that obnoxious slime ball Salem out of the picture the better. So Malcolm gunned it and we barreled North East straight to Castle Banther. I started to notice that the closer we got to Salem the more cop cars I saw; this couldn’t be good.

We drove slow and took all of the back roads. Time passed slowly and everything was black and silent; even motor mouth Malcolm was mute. Of course Malcolm being the geek he is had night vision goggles, so we didn’t need head lights. Naomi was sharpening her daggers and darts. I loaded my gun and waited. The suspense was killing me. Then I heard it, the ear piercing wail of police sirens after that the red and blue flashing lights.

Naomi cursed loudly in Japanese and Malcolm floored it. There was one car in front of us and one behind. Malcolm headed full speed toward the car in front of us. Right when I thought we would collide Malcolm swerved to the left and onto a thin trail barely wider than the car.

I looked back and saw the muzzle flash of a pistol and hollered “get down!” Everyone ducked and a bullet shattered the back window. “Two can play at that game” I thought and popped up. I aimed and fired in a fraction of a second. The bullet hit the cop’s shoulder and he grabbed it instinctively. Then he lost control of the wheel “Ace in the hole," I muttered. The car swerved vigorously to the left and got walloped by a sycamore. The next car had to jerk right to avoid hitting the other car. I popped up again and shot the vehicle’ tires. The driver hit the brakes but then they spun out and felt the same fate as their comrade. Naomi let out a sigh of relief.

“It’s not over yet” Malcolm explained “Look up ahead there’s a road block!”

“Are there any spike strips?” Naomi asked.

“Nope” I answered. Naomi wondered aloud “are we-”

“Yes Malcolm” cut her off. There were five cars in a horizontal line all with light flashing and sirens blaring. We were barreling straight toward it. The wall of cars came closer and closer and closer until we rammed the middle car. The impact was bone shattering, and then we were airborne. The car was soaring above the road block. When we landed we were past it and we left some major wreckage behind us.

“Woooooooooohoooo!” Malcolm cheered. We all high fived and sped off into the night.
