The next morning, Y/n awoke from her first night at Hogwarts, her dormitory surprisingly bearable. The silence was deafening, her room tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the other dormitories. The corridors outside resembled a scene from a horror film, but she didn't mind.

Content in her solitude, she prepared for the day. Donning her Slytherin uniform and her robes, she brushed her long, wavy hair, keeping it down. Aware of the distance of her dormitory from the Great Hall, she had risen early to avoid tardiness.

Y/n nodded and set off towards the Great Hall. Blaise was nowhere to be found too.

"I'm hungry." she muttered, recalling her ruined dinner the previous night, Malfoy and his cronies made sure of that.

"You'll feast now. They won't bother you anymore. If they did, threaten them."

The voice laughed darkly that y/n need to cover her ears, trying to stifle the laughter. "Thanks, but the laughter wasn't necessary." She whispered and breathed out, uncovering her ears.

She soon reached the Great Hall, surprisingly arriving at the same time with Harry and his two friends, Ron and Hermione. Her gaze met Harry's for a brief moment, but he quickly looked away.

Then, he turned back and offered y/n a faint smile. Y/n simply looked away without any reaction and took a seat at the Slytherin table.

As Y/n settled into her same seat from last night, she couldn't help but notice a subtle shift in the atmosphere. Malfoy and his bodyguards, who had previously occupied the seats across from hers, had vanished, and they are already sitting far from her.

"Morning, Riddle." Pansy greeted her, almost forced, her eyes fixed on Y/n across the table before looking away.

Y/n acknowledged Pansy's presence with an indifferent glance, her fork poised over her plate. "Surprising." she muttered to herself.

Moments later, Malfoy's voice reverberated through the hall, entertaining the Slytherin table with a funny story. Y/n observed him from the corner of her eye as he exaggerated his movements and mimicked a swooning fit, eliciting a roar of laughter from his friends.

And Y/n realized behind Malfoy's mockery was none other than Harry Potter, who sat slouched at the Gryffindor table beside George Weasley.

"Hey, Potter!" Pansy shrieked, her face contorted in amusement. "Heard about the Dementors? They are coming for you Potter! Wooooooooo!"

Y/n cringed at her. A sneer crept onto her lips, her gaze shifting to Malfoy, who was now pretending to faint in mock terror.

"What's your problem with him?" Y/n managed to ask blankly, catching the attention of Malfoy and his three friends.

Malfoy stopped and hus smirk faded as he turned to face her from the other seat, his eyes narrowed. "Learn to mind your own business, Riddle!" he hissed.

"As if you weren't just meddling someone else's." Y/n retorted, her voice surprisingly steady and composed.

Malfoy's glare hardened, and he rose from his seat. "Well, well, Potter." he drawled, his eyes lingering on Harry and sneered. "Looks like you've found yourself a new girlfriend. And lo and behold, she's right here, in the same house as mine!"

"But out of everyone. Why that kid."

Y/n's face initially stoic, hardened as her patience was slowly melting.

"Shut it, Malfoy. You're just a right git!" Harry retorted from the Gryffindor table, his tone laced with irritation.

"Ignore him, Harry." Hermione whispered from behind him, her voice soothing. "He's not worth it."
