A soft knock came at the door after having everything set up. "Who is it?"

"Toni."

Toni?! Oh boy. "Yea come on in."

"Hey sugar, I hope you don't mind that I let Taraji know you were back." She brought In candles, grocery's, and toiletries as well.

"Oh no, it's fine. I actually bumped into her earlier at the store she's coming over. You didn't have to get stuff, I already bought stuff earlier."

"You know me, I'm getting stuff regardless. Never know what special guest you may have over." She winked at me as we put the stuff up in silence.

After thirty minutes we were done. "Ok, if you need anything call me."

" I will, but T are you okay?" Grabbing her keys off the table I grabbed her arm. "And don't lie to me either, are you ok?"

" I'm just taking it one day at a time that's all. Though I promise you I am ok." I knew she was saying that so I wouldn't worry, but still.

"Toni, look you my girl, the best of the best; and I can't have nothing happening to you. This whole thing is scaring me a bit because I'm not used to you looking as such. Then you keep your spirits up so well, I'm just utterly amazed. Though T if there's something else wrong please, please tell me, tell Janet."

"You worry too much baby, I'm fine and I'll be fine. I love you and thank you. Yes, if there is something else I will tell you. You know with my lupus it drains the most out of me."

"I know, have you been to the doctor?"

"Yea when I went back to Maryland."

"Have you told Janet?"

"I can't bring myself to do so just yet."

"Why?"

"I don't wanna hurt her. She's more than a friend to me Fanny. If I die that's enough already."

"You're not gonna die Toni. It's enough that you didn't tell her, something happens to you and she doesn't know. I'm sorry but shawty gone flip out. If you love her tell her, tell her what's going on so if anything she can help you."

I wiped the stray tear that fell from her eye. "You love her right?"

"More than anything."

"Tell her." She nodded her head and kissed my cheek.

"Ian come over here to cry."

"Well you need to, I love you Toni."

"I love you too Fanny Mae." I hugged her tightly as we pulled back she grabbed her things proceeding to the door.

"Oh T?"

"Yea?"

"You get big in the back nie, what's all that about."

"Hmmm, come over one day and you'll find out." She opened the door and there stood Taraji.

"Hey Raj."

"Hey Toni, how you doing."

"I'm ok, how bout you?"

"I'm fine honey. You keeping Janet together?"

"As much as I can but you know that as well."

"Know I do."

"You ladies have a good night."

"We will, be safe Toni; I love you."

She left out as Taraji and I looked at each other. "Make yourself at home pretty, have you ate yet?"
