3rd Person POV

Silence. An eerie silence. An eerily deep silence rung among the giants. They had been given the chance to live peacefully in this world and not get killed. However, that would mean that they would have to defy their own purpose of existence. Each of the giants had mixed feelings about this.

Glassord, the quiet giant, was more obedient than anything. He would go along with whatever was agreed upon them. However, personally speaking, he did not wish to participate in a campaign such as this. Knowing that he would die along with his brothers, Glassord didn't really wish to continue fulfilling this useless goal.

Fenn, on the other hand, was devoted to their original purpose. His pride had reached great heights, so he couldn't allow himself to be put down by anyone. Even if it meant being killed, Fenn did not want to abandon his purpose.

Lastly, Dagruel was in a huge dilemma, as one part of him wished to stop completing his goal, while the other part wished for him to continue it. After being split up and named by Veldanava, the true god of this world and the master of that monster, each of the giants not only saw differences in their physical capabilities and magicules, but also their intellect and mental state.

After being spared by Rimuru and Veldanava, Dagruel got a new outlook of the world. He didn't wish to destroy it anymore, but rather, wanted to learn more about it and interact with its inhabitants. He had lost his destructive nature alongside his brother Glassord.

However, Dagruel could tell that Fenn wasn't having ant of it. He knew that Fenn was the wildest among them all, and he believes that naming Fenn might have increased his wild nature. He was worried about his nature potentially leading to his death.

Thus, he decided to tell his brothers about his opinion and see how they will react.

Dagruel: "My brothers, I have come to a decision." He bellowed, causing both of the giants to look at him, both curious about his "decision".

Dagruel: "I have decided to stop trying to destroy this world and live here peacefully. It's the best thing I can think of." He declared, causing both of his brothers to jolt in surprise.

Fenn: "Huh!? Why!? Why do you plan on abandoning our purpose, brother!?" He exclaimed, enraged at his brother's decision. Fenn hated both Veldanava and that servant of his. Because of this, he didn't wish to use the names that he gave them, even if they granted them immense power.

Dagruel, having expected this outburst, replied to his brother.

Dagruel: "Please let me explain, brother. That man, Veldanava, could've ended us if he wished. However, he didn't, and allowed us to live and learn more about this world. I... I wish to learn more about this world that he cared so much about. I wish to learn exactly what is so special about this world that Veldanava doesn't wish for it to be destroyed. That is why, I wish to live here peacefully." He finished, content with his words.

Both of his brothers had different reactions. Glassord was... happy with his words. He was glad that Dagruel wished the same thing he did. He also wanted to know more about this world that he once wished to destroy.

However, Fenn was flabbergasted and enraged by his brother's words. His brother was willing to step away from the reason he was created. He couldn't understand as to why he would wish for something so boring and insignificant as this. It was nonsensical.

Fenn: "How could you say that!? Do you-"

Glassord: "I also agree with Dagruel. I wish to live peacefully, not be a warmonger and strive destruction." He interrupted his brother and declared his will. Dagruel was happy. He was happy that Glassord agreed with him.
