3rd Person POV

Troubling, maybe even disastrous.

That is how Veldanava, the Star King Dragon, would describe the situation he was in. Perhaps, calling him 'Star King Dragon' wouldn't fit him anymore, since he is nowhere near that strength anymore.

That was his opinion, though most would still disagree.

What he faced right now was an army marching in the empire, ready to hunt him down for good. He figured that since he had become so weakened, some people would wish to use this to end his life for a notorious reputation that would place fear in the hearts of humanity.

That was his conclusion, at least, though he wasn't surprised, seeing the nature of humans. In fact, he believed that this was happening not only because of the humans' greed for reputation, but also because he had spent far more time in this world than he was supposed to.

His wife, Lucia, approached him, worry written all over her face. She had never seen her husband in such a vulnerable state, especially when they were about to be killed by a mere human army.

Lucia: "Dear... those cowards, they are taking advantage of our weakened state." She growled under her breath in frustration, though love and concern were etched in her features and voice.

Veldanava: "Lucia..." He muttered, his voice low as he glanced at his daughter, the one he named Milim, and the one to whom he gave most of his magicules.

As for how any of this happened, it was due to the love confession the platinum-pink-haired maiden made, not long after his right-hand man left. After she confessed, Veldanava reciprocated her feelings, as he felt love for her too, even though the emotion of love was still a mystery to him.

After a few years of dating, they finally got married, with even the Dragons and the arbitrators of the Central World attending the marriage ceremony. Later on, they decided that they wished to have a child.

The risk was evident, since both of them were spiritual lifeforms, but to them, it didn't matter much, as they wanted a simple and peaceful life together with their child.

However, the birth of their daughter, who was named Milim, had a negative impact on her parents far more than either of them expected. Veldanava let most of his power flow into Milim, knowing how she needed it to survive, and so did Lucia, so that she could also experience the loss of power that her husband was experiencing.

While the beautiful saint only lost a fraction of her powers, the same wasn't the case for the King of Stars. Due to most of his powers being transferred to Milim, he was now merely a shell of his former self. One could say that he was at the level of a mere human.

Veldanava, however, was not worried. He didn't care much about losing most of his power, since they helped his daughter live and be strong, while also trusting his brother-in-law, Rudra, to protect them, so he stayed in the empire alongside his beloved wife.

Yet, it seems that there was reason to worry, after all. The humans, beings filled with greed and arrogance, gathered up to kill the King of Stars as a way to increase their reputation and be feared throughout the world.

They were foolish and opportunists, as described by the Creator God.

And yet, he didn't feel any frustration or anger. All he felt was pure acceptance and a hint of sadness at not being able to spend more time with his family.

Lucia: "There are too many... we won't be able to hold them off for long. Maybe if... we were to contact brother or your siblings..."

Veldanava: "We shall not do that, Lucia. At least, not for me." He told her calmly, his aloof gaze observing the battlefield as he spoke.
