05 | Ride or Die

It most have fallen out when I was running home last night. We were actually going to make it early to class but now all because of me we are goi-

"Snap out of it" Liam says bending down in front of me zipping my backpack up. He lends in as if to hug me.

"I know another way in" He whispers into my ear.

He pulls back looking me into the eye smirking.

He grabs my left hand and pulls me up alongside him. He guides us out of the school. We walk to the back of the school. We see a few kids smoking but they don't pay us any mind. We keep going towards the old research building which isn't too far away. I don't think I've ever been here myself I don't question why we are here I learned a long time ago not to question Liam. He has never led me wrong before. Once we get there I aspect us to go of my hand as he leads us around. He stops and I do as well. I look over his shoulder and spot what looks like two ground doors. There looks like there used to be a lack but it's not there anymore. He bends down to open the doors and dust fills the air. once it clears you can see stairs leading down somewhere. he turns around to look at me.

"Just think about this as follow the leader" he says grinning

"After you" I say gesturing him forward.

"Ladies first Chloe~~ " He says trying to hide a laugh

"I shot you once I'll do it again Lucifer" I say giving him the evil eyes and smirking for good measure.

He holds his hands up as if showing he surrenders. He walks down the steps. I hesitate at first but end up following him down.

"Close the doors behind you" he says his voice echoing off the walls. He pulls out his phone turning the flash on to give us light.

"Alight fine but if you get us killed, I will never forgive you" I say shaking my head

"Noted" he says.

I can hear the grin on his face. I closed the doors then turn back towards Liam.

"No" I hear Liam say under his breath but still manages to echo.

"What?" I ask probably sounding confused.

He turns his head to look at me.

"We might be slightly late if he doesn't run for it," he says with a huge smirk.

Before I get a chance to respond he grabs my hand and start running making me keep pace with him. He held his other hand in front so we could see where we were going. I never knew the school had a place like this. I didn't get much time to look around since we were running for our lives right now, but it looked dusty and had a lot of tunnels. We zig-zag through different ones. Liam seems to know the way by how he switches to different tunnels like it's second nature. He stops at the end of the tunnel which is a dead end. We must have taken a wrong turn or something I think but then I see a Liam start climbing a latter that looks kind of hidden. I start following him up still not questioning any of this even though I have many questions. When I make it to the top and look around to see the janitor's closet. He grabs my hand again as he opens the doors and speed to our classroom. We only slow down when we see staff or someone important. We make it to the classroom door he drops my hand as we walk in. The bell rings. I almost laugh out loud. Ms. Buttworks glares at us as we take out sits. My breath coming out in puffs from all the running.

"Everyone please takes out the homework assigned yesterday" she says to the class.

I freeze. I never made it to the class yesterday, so I don't have the homework. Liam puts papers on my desk. I look up at him in confusion.
