Liam caught my phone before it hit the floor and took it off speaker phone.
"Good afternoon, Mrs. Intermezzo! I just finished hearing the situation and my brother Callum would like to know what exactly took place before having to involve our father. Our sister Aria is an outstanding child, and she has never done anything like this before, so I doubt it's as black and white as it seems" he says calmly into the phone.
I haven't moved and I know that I am still breathing by the fact I'm not died yet. Hank can't get involved. I won't be able to protect her from him. Liam puts his hand in front of my face waving it. I look up at him as he hands me my phone.
"Relax. We will go pick her up and find out what really happened." he says getting up with his cool and calm attitude in place.
"No, I can't let you miss class like this for me. Plus, we need to get the homework for the remaining classes it's the only thing balancing out attendance." I reason.
"Homework. Seriously. We can circle around for it. This is way more important." he said walking towards the double doors to the lunchroom.
I jump up running after min. I put my hand on his shoulder to stop him.
"You can meet us at the cafe after school." I say stubbornly.
After a moment of intense eye contact, he sighs shaking his head at me.
"You are just so stubborn" he says smiling
"Where do you think I learned it from Lucifer" I say smirking.
That got a loud laugh, and a few head turns in our direction.
"Fine, I give in, but I will be at the cafe as soon as school ends and don't be so hard on her Cal." he says all serious
"Yeah Yeah Yeah just don't disturb me while I work" I say with a smile
"I would never Chloe darling~~" he says smirking
I scowl and walk out the lunchroom hearing his laugh as I walk making the sides of my lips turn up. I exit the school and jog to Aria's pondering what could have gotten her worked up enough to fight someone. As I get to the gate, I feel my nervous kick in, I take a deep breath and try to channel the Liam in me. I open the door and walk in. I see Ted the security guard spot me and walk up to me quickly but then noticed who I was, smiled and pointed to the main office. I just loveeee all the happy memories coming back into this school gives me feeling the sarcasm radiate off my body. I walk into the main office and see a middle-aged lady at her desk and Aria and a boy in a room behind her. I can only see the back of their head since they seem to be facing someone, I can't see from her.
"Hello, how can I help you" The lady at the desk says drawing my attention back to her. I offer a small smile.
"Uh hi, I'm Callum Cove" I say nerves leaking in my voice.
"Right this way" she says getting up leading me to the open door were Aria and the boy is.
We walk in and I see the principal Mrs. Intermezzo sitting at her desk looking up at us as we walk in.
"Callum Cove is here" says the lady who was lead me here.
"Yes, thank you Mary" says Mrs. Intermezzo waving her off.
Mary walks back to her desk at the front I assume leaving me here. My eyes stay trained on Mrs. Intermezzo.
"It's been a while Callum" Mrs. Intermezzo says sad smiling at me. "I wish we could have bet on better terms this time."
I only nod now looking down at the two children staring up at me from there turned heads. The boy looks beat up, but Aria looks fine. I feel the slight smirk on my face.
