Her piercing screams filter through my ears as I watch her in pain not knowing what's going on. All I did was grab her hand and she acted like a tortured soul.
She drops to the ground, passing out and I quickly jump down to her side and try and wake her but nothing. I check for a pulse and her heart is beating fine but I don't understand what's going on.
My phone dings in my pocket, causing me to jump a little.
Salvton: Boss, trespasser got through the barriers. We need your help protecting everyone, we can't handle him, he's too powerful.
Me: Where are you? Get everyone back into the undergrounds including you. I'll get rid of him.
Salvton: By Fountain, Dexton is injured.
"God dammit," I yell, punching into the ground.'
I grab Aria, lifting her into my arms and take her sleeping body to rest in bed while I get rid of the little pest lurking where he shouldn't. Too much is happening, something is going wrong.
I rip my wings through my shirt and start making my way to the fountain. Someone chose the wrong day to fuck with me.
Fire surrounds me as the trespasser lights my trees on fire. One of Linox's bitches, has to be.
"Ah, can I help you?" I ask sarcastically.
I'm met with a face full of fire but all I can do is laugh hysterically. I've bathed in water hotter than that shit.
"Allow me to ask in a better way," I make my way to him gripping him by the throat, "What the fuck are you doing?"
All he does is laugh causing anger to ignite within me. Fine, he wants to play games, oh I'll play.
I manifest a chair and throw him in it, locking him in place. I'm going to get answers if it's the last thing I do.
I pull my knife out of my pocket and glance at its beauty then at the pain in the ass in front of me.
"Now, where were we," I ask with a smirk.
I draw the knife back and insert it right into his stomach, causing a shrieking pain out of him. Music to my ears, although the sound of his vocal chords being ripped would sound better.
"I believe I asked what the fuck you was doing coming into MY kingdom destroying everything?" I asked sharply.
He looks up to me with wide eyes and I could've sworn he lost all color to him. I raise my eyebrow waiting for an answer.
"You're… you're Xavier?" he looks up at me with fear in his eyes.
"No shit," I laugh amused by his unintelligence.
"Look man, I had no choice, it was ordered or my daughter and wife die," he says with pleading eyes.
I pull my knife out of his stomach and run it across his face pressing the blade into his cheek bone.
"Hmm, who ordered it?" I ask. Anger filled me even more.
"Linox, he sent me to kill a girl you're keeping here," he says, shaking before me.
Anger has finally consumed me and I drive the knife into his cheek as he screams in pain.
"Do you know who that girl is?" I ask sternly, waiting for an answer.
"No, I just know she is human, has black hair and is short. He said she is easy to distinguish," he declares.
"That girl is my woman, and you will not lay a single scratch on her. You are doing this to save your wife and child while taking away someone else's love. Do you realize how pathetic you sound right now," I yell at him, sending the knife deeper before pulling it out.
"I had no idea," he says, crying pathetically.
It then came to my attention, I could play the game dirty and offer a deal. I grin to myself thinking of what I'm about to offer.
"What's your name?" I ask.
"Greynoxious," he answers quietly.
"Well, Greynoxious.. Do you like deals? I know I do," I ask with a grin.
He says nothing just looks at me with confusion, worry spreading through his mind. I can sense it coursing through his veins.
"Deal is, I heal your wounds and you bring your family to my kingdom under my protection and you will patrol my borders and not let anybody else in. You will leave my princess alone and in return you can have your life spared and your families with no worries of their lives being threatened again," I state waiting for an answer.
"Is there a catch?" he asks not so sure of my words.
"It is what I said, no catches and nothing more. But mark my words if you defy me, you will suffer greatly," I said sternly.
"Deal," he declares.
"Perfect, grab your family and come back here and I will send someone to show you your new home," I say, releasing him from the grip of the chair.
"Oh and.." I say before healing his wounds.
"Don't need the women traumatized," I say with a smile and begin making my way back towards the mansion to check on my princess or so I thought.
A pain burns across my face as if I had just been smacked and I look around me, nobody in sight. Worry spreads through me as I think of Aria and run as fast as I can to the room I left her in. I make my way in there and charge straight to the bed but she is still asleep. I raise my brown in confusion until a handprint forms across her right cheek.
I place my hand on her necklace and it burns leaving a scorching pain but I don't care about that right now. My princess has capabilities I didn't know of and I need to find the source. Desperate for answers, I grab her body and run to my office, laying her down on the bed in there.
There is one piece on this board that knows her better than anyone, her grandma. I grabbed the piece and tried summoning her but nothing. Another sting strikes my face and I look over at her limp body.
"Father, anybody please help me," I say quietly.
Swirls of ash spin around the piece leaving me blinded by sparkles of light.
"Xave, my dear. Aria is in great danger. She needs you, she's calling for you," says her grandma with the sweet voice she's always had.
"I touched the necklace, I can't get to her," I say frantically.
"Concentrate on her soul, forming into a shadow and get your wings tucked away. She doesn't know that of you yet dear. You have to be what she knows of you before you can have that connection," she says.
"What is happening to her," I ask nervously.
"She has a gift, she can transport to different places in her dreams but with a gift comes great danger. Others can get to her in her dreams until she learns to channel them out. You can teach her," she explains.
Father always has to play with his pawns. It's not fair to put her through this, now I'm the one who has to clean up his mess. He really annoys me sometimes.
"Thank you, it's always a pleasure" I say before putting the chest piece back in place on the board watching the ash disappear.
I take a deep breath returning my wings, nervous for what's in store for me. I never cared for anything more but Aria, if she dies I think I won't care to keep going on either. Even though she's just met me, her touch said differently.
Connecting to her soul, I can see everything. A dark place filled with weapons and a man. I form a shadow and touch the necklace sending me into her dream.
I find myself standing in front of a large building, the one that was rented out for her 18th birthday. God she looked so beautiful that day. I stalk towards the door but before opening,  I hear a female scream leaving chills down my spine.
I've known many things in my lifetime but the one thing I'm positive about is whoever hurt Aria will be facing their death fairly quickly.
When it comes to her, I'd do anything to protect her even if that means I'd have to kill everybody in my sight and let the world burn around us.
