(Before we get started with the story I need to make some things clear. This may not be updated immediately. I update whenever I feel like it but it really depends on the support that the story gets. Also, this story is inspired by "Your Friendly Neighborhood Witch" on Ao3. Their story is really good so you should totally check that out. I may also publish this on Ao3, but we will just have to wait and see.

The girl above in the picture is C.A Cupid from Ever After High. I will be using her appearance as what you look like in demigoddess form but if there is anything you would like to change that is alright. Nothing else in the story will associate with Ever After High. In human form, you can choose what you want to look like, I will not specify anything appearance-wise. Reader will be female with she/her pronouns and will be referred to as Y/N Cupid (demigoddess) or Y/N L/N (human disguise name).

I am not really familiar with mythology but for the sake of this story, I will research what I must. With that being said, I really hope you enjoy this story <3)

You glided through the white and gold building, admiring it for what you assumed to be the last time. The place was absolutely blinding. There were pillars everywhere and gold decorations scattered about. You were walking on clouds, literally!

Beautiful scenery like that was normal for you, seeing as you were a demigoddess. Demigods and Demigoddesses were the descendants of the well known gods and goddesses. Your father was the one and only, Cupid, the God of Love. You adored your father, and placed him on a pedestal so high nobody could ever compete with him. He had always cared for you, and had given you so much love over the years. He truly was the best father.

Eventually, you reached the end of the long hall where the portal to the mortal realm stayed. You knew very well that as soon as you entered the portal, you were on your own. You had already talked with your father about leaving Mount Olympus (and the realm altogether) beforehand and he had agreed that you should visit the mortal realm. That way, you could help mortals with their love lives and finding their soulmates, just like him. The only downside to the situation was that the portal would automatically make you look more human-like.

"Make me proud!"

That's what he said before you left to embark on your journey. And that was exactly what you were going to do. Your hand reached up to your hair as you began grazing your fingers through it.

This is it....this is my future...

With a deep breathe you shut your eyes and walked through the portal, expecting a strange feeling of magical energy to course through your veins.

But the feeling never came.

You opened your eyes and observed your hands. "This is definitely a change." You muttered to yourself, as you traced your arms with your fingers.

After a second of admiring your new look, you noticed that you were in a secluded forest at nighttime. You were grateful for this fact. If anyone saw you emerge from that portal than you might have been in some trouble. However, you weren't used to being completely surrounded by darkness.

You peered behind you and saw that your wings were gone. Your face twisted into a mask of annoyance and disgust.

"Ugh...I hate walking.."

You sighed and slouched for a second but then straightened yourself and said,

"I guess the only way to go is forwards."

And so you began your adventure, trudging through the woods at midnight, searching for a sign of any civilization.

You groaned loudly.

"I've been out here for HOURS?!"

You yelled at the sun as it took to the sky.

Turns out finding your way out of the forest was harder than you initially thought. At first, you tried to stay positive about it but after seeing the same rock you just couldn't keep the positive attitude anymore.

"I wish I could just fly out of this stupid forest!"

You yelled while kicking a few small rocks.

SNAP!

You whipped your head around in every direction trying to find the source of the sound when your eyes landed on a large, shadowy figure. Whatever it was, it was really tall and slim and had small white eyes.

"Hello?"

You called out for the figure but it began to run away. And of course, you had to chase after it. You ran after the figure for as long as you could, but you tripped over a branch and fell on your face. The figure kept running, and at that point you had just given up.

You picked yourself up off the ground and wiped the dirt off your face.

"Great, now I have to go back to looking for a way out of the forest alone."
