When you arrived to Axel's place you started to feel anxious. You didn't want to screw up your chances with a really cute guy, especially not on the first date.

KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK!

Not long after you knocked on the door, Axel had opened it, revealing his dreamy smile and the bottle of beer he was holding.

"Hey, you made it! Haha, nice of you to join me, sweetheart."

He seemed a little tipsy to you, like stumbling on his words and moving strangely kind of tipsy, but you ignored it and returned his smile.

"Of course! I wouldn't miss it for the world, Axel!"

He motioned for you to come in, which you obliged and walked into his house. It was a small house that was yellow on the outside and white on the inside. Moving to his living room, his couch was long and gray which matched the rug he placed in front of it and his walls were decorated with many abstract paintings.

"You want one?" Axel offered a bottle of beer to you to which you politely declined.

"Sorry, I don't drink."

To this he pouted a little but still popped the beer bottle open and took a large swig of it. Then, he brought the bottle close to your face.

"You sure? It makes a really fun time..."

You winced and made some space between you both.

"I'm sure...."

He sighed and finished the bottle completely.

"Alright, then..."

Axel then went to sit on the couch with you trailing behind him. He patted the seat next to him before sitting back with his leg on top of his other leg. You sat down next to him. The coffee table had multiple bottles of beer that remained unopened, sitting right on top of it.

"So...what do you wanna do?"

It was a simple question, really. He invited you here so he should already have an idea of what you were here for.

"I dunno."

You deadpanned. This wasn't all you were hoping for it to be.

"Wanna watch a movie?"

He hummed his approval and grabbed the remote to choose a movie.

The movie Axel chose was a dark comedy, which you didn't really mind. You both sat in silence and every now and then Axel would move to take another large sip of beer. Eventually, the movie got a little boring and Axel had turned to you. He reached his hand up to your face and cupped it, getting close enough to kiss you. You could feel your face heating up.

"Y'know, you are so much better than Melissa..."

Melissa?!

As if on cue, a pale skinned blondie waltzed into the living room of Axel's house and began screaming at you both. You both backed up from each other. Her screams were combined with sobbing so you couldn't understand it all. But, you did catch some things.

"HOW COULD YOU, AXEL?!?!"

"WE HAVE BEEN TOGETHER FOR 4 YEARS AND YOU ARE JUST GOING TO THROW THAT AWAY?!?!"

4 years...... I ruined a relationship of 4 years...

The girl, Melissa you assumed, ran upstairs crying. It was then that you opened your mouth to talk.

"I thought you were single......how could you do that to someone you had been with for 4 years...?"

You turned towards Axel as he paled and began stammering. You gave him the hand.

"Y'know what...save it. I don't care. You are nothing but a lying, cheating, bastard."

You stood up, giving Axel one last evil glare before grabbing your backpack and walking out of the house. You wanted to go after the girl to comfort her but you figured that she wanted to be alone at the moment. Still, you hoped that you would randomly see her somewhere else in the future so you could apologize to her directly.

Tears welled in your eyes as you began speed-walking down the sidewalk. Your first possible relationship and he already had a girlfriend. And she caught him with you. You were the problem.

I'm supposed to fix and make relationships....not break them...

You felt terrible for the poor girl. Her sobs haunted your mind as you walked even faster.

Once you were far away enough from Axel's house you broke down crying on the sidewalk. You put your feet down on the side of the road as you wept. You had always been sensitive when movies presented events like this, but you never thought that you would observe it firsthand. The hurt in that girl's eyes, her screams of agony, her hysterical sobs.

Your shaky hand reached for your pocket as you pulled out your mirror-phone. You asked for it to show you the time, but you had to retry several times because it couldn't understand what you were saying due to how much you were crying. It was now 7:00 pm.

I have to go to Papyrus's house tomorrow...

You weren't sure if you wanted to attend anymore but you didn't want to hurt Papyrus's feelings. He was too sweet to be heartbroken like that. Your mind drifted back to the day you went out with your monster friends as you wiped your tears away.

All you did was waste your time going to Axel's. You should have never fallen for someone so simply. Your mistake. You vowed to be more careful next time as you stood up from your place on the sidewalk. Your unoccupied hand balled up in a fist as you demanded your mirror-phone to guide you to the park. Since you didn't have a place to stay yet, you decided that the park would be a good option because it had multiple benches you could sit on for the night.

Why didn't I think of this before??

You started on your way to the park as you tried to forget what happened but failed. It replayed in your mind like a video tape. You felt like crying again but you had already cried so much that you just couldn't anymore.

I just need to get to the park..

Upon your arrival to the park, the wind began blowing intensely. It didn't matter much to you, you could handle being extremely hot or cold.

You took a seat on one of the benches near the large fountain that was placed in the middle of the park. You took out your diary and pen and began writing. Your pen drifted across the page at a rapid speed, as if you might forget what you were thinking of if you didn't quickly write it down.

As the wind blew and some owls sounded out, you found yourself slowing down with your writing. It was unusual for you to become exhausted, and honestly unheard of. But for once, you were tired. You figured that all your crying was the cause for your sudden tiredness.

You closed your diary and hugged it tight to you with your pen laying right beside you. You leaned over to the arm of the bench and curled up. It had been so long since you had actually slept that the feeling was very unfamiliar to you.

You shut your eyes and relaxed as you drifted off right there in the midst of the park, with your diary clutched to your chest.
