Papyrus POV

After the hangout session with you, Papyrus and Sans sadly had to return home.

Papyrus used to be happy to go home but ever since San's machine went haywire and dumped a bunch of skeletons from different universes into their house, it was always chaotic there. The other versions of them would often get into arguments with each other over stupid things, and sometimes it even resulted in violence. And he didn't really enjoy the other's tastes either. Blue always wanted tacos, Edge always wanted lasagna, and Black always wanted burritos. None of them ever wanted his signature dish of spaghetti so he rarely was able to practice cooking it at home. He often went to Undyne's house during the day just to cook some spaghetti in peace. The kitchen was almost always overrun by Edge or Black, who Papyrus did not like arguing with. Of course, the arguments he did have with any of the other skeletons were diffused by his older brother, who the others were greatly intimidated by for some reason.

Anyway, Papyrus was sad to leave you. Humans rarely reached out to him the way you did. You hugged him as if you and him had been best friends since birth. And for a moment Papyrus found himself dwelling on inviting you to come over a few days early. Of course, he was sure that many of the other household members would not appreciate a human being present in the house. However, it was Sans and Papyrus's call because they were the ones that owned the house.

As they were walking down the street back home, Papyrus couldn't help but think about how happy you were to get that waiter's number. He had felt something when he saw you crushing on that waiter, but he couldn't tell what.

WHATEVER!! SOMEONE AS GREAT AS I SHOULDN'T WORRY ABOUT SUCH THINGS..!!

Your POV

After you had sent that photo to your dad, you completely turned off your mirror-phone and got up from your spot on the street. To be honest, you had no idea where to go now. The sun was still setting and you didn't know where to stay for the night. In the movies, people had their homes but that costed money. And you didn't have any at the moment.

Don't humans have jobs??? To make money..??

And then it hit you. You needed a job. But what could you do, and how would you do it? You didn't even know all the options. In the mortal realm, almost anything seemed possible so could you just come up with something and start doing it? Is that how it worked?

In almost every romance movie you had watched, the main character worked at a small shop before meeting the love of their life. What if you did the same? Even though you had already gotten the waiter's number you still wanted to experience more. Besides, you weren't even dating.........yet. You made a mental note to call him later on and began aimlessly walking through the streets in search of a small shop that might still be open.

If I can get a job, I can get money. Money can get me a place to stay, some new clothes, and anything else I might need! I just need to find a small shop that's hiring. Too easy, if you ask me!!

You stopped when you saw a small shop that had an "open" sign with spiders around it. Above the open sign was the name "S p🕷d e r W e b C a f e." You peeked through the window and saw a spider monster wearing a red outfit that puffed up like a cloud pouring some tea into a cup while a few spiders ran around on the counters. The place was bare except for her presence.

Perfect!!

You opened the door and strutted into the cafe with your head held high. You were eager to make a GREAT first impression on your (hopefully) future boss!
