The first rays of dawn filtered through the curtains of Geoff's cottage, painting the room in gentle hues of gold and amber. Ryan, the early riser of the group, stirred from his slumber. He couldn't help but smile as he inhaled the warm, inviting scent of freshly baked goods.

With a sense of curiosity and a grumbling stomach, Ryan quietly slipped out of his bunk bed and made his way downstairs. There, in the cozy kitchen, he found Geoff standing in front of a crackling furnace, a warm smile on his face as he carefully held a beautifully crafted cake.

Geoff turned to Ryan, his eyes twinkling with affection. "Good morning, my young enchanter. I hope I didn't wake you."

Ryan shook his head, his voice filled with gratitude. "No, not at all. This is a wonderful way to wake up."

Geoff led Ryan outside to a wooden table set beneath the morning sun. It was laden with an array of freshly baked pastries, loaves of bread, and, of course, the delectable cake.

"Breakfast is served," Geoff announced with a hearty laugh, inviting Ryan to take a seat. The table looked like a feast fit for a king, and Ryan couldn't help but marvel at the culinary delights laid before him.

As the two of them sat down to enjoy their morning meal, Geoff began to share stories of his own adventures and discoveries, and he gave Ryan guidance for the journey ahead. The warm sun bathed them in its gentle glow as they talked, forming a bond of shared dreams and experiences between the old explorer and the young enchanter.

The morning was off to a perfect start, and as the aroma of baked goods filled the air, the anticipation for the adventure that awaited the group grew even stronger.

Geoff, a distinguished figure, was adorned with a long, flowing white beard that cascaded down his chest, a testament to the many years of exploration and wisdom he possessed. His deep, crinkled eyes held a spark of adventure, and his voice was filled with the echoes of countless stories and experiences.

As Geoff and Ryan engaged in conversation, Geoff leaned in with a look of utmost seriousness. "Ryan, there's something very important I must discuss with you."

But before Geoff could reveal what weighed on his mind, the aromatic scent of freshly baked pastries had begun to lure the rest of the group from their slumber. Alfie, his eyes still heavy with sleep, followed by Emma and Knox, descended the stairs and joined the table, drawn by the delightful fragrance that hung in the air.

Alfie, his face lighting up as he took in the spread before him, asked, "What's that incredible smell, Geoff?"

With a chuckle, Geoff replied, "Good morning, my young adventurers. It's the aroma of a hearty breakfast. But before we tuck in, there's something important I need to discuss."

Ryan's curiosity was piqued, and he couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation, knowing that the breakfast spread was only the beginning of the day's adventures and revelations.

Geoff's eyes softened as he turned his attention to Ryan. "Ryan, do you remember much about when I left the village? I know you were quite young back then."

Ryan furrowed his brow, struggling to recollect the distant memories of his childhood. "Not much, Grandpa. I remember that you left on an adventure, but I was too young to understand why or where you were going."

Geoff nodded, understanding. "I see. And what about your younger brother, Logan? Do you remember anything about him?"

The question hung in the air, and the group was left in hushed anticipation, their expressions filled with curiosity. The silence that followed was palpable until Ryan quietly responded, "I remember Logan, Grandpa, but he disappeared when I was very young. It was like he vanished out of nowhere."
