As Ryan and the group ventured through the labyrinthine corridors of the base in search of their friends, they finally stumbled upon them in another lab. With a sense of relief, they entered the room to meet them.
"Hey, we found you guys," Ryan exclaimed, a mixture of relief and concern evident in his voice.
Emma and Knox turned to greet them, their expressions mirroring Ryan's emotions. "We were starting to worry," Emma admitted, her voice tinged with relief.
Knox nodded in agreement, his eyes scanning the group for any signs of trouble. "What's the plan?" he asked, his tone filled with urgency.
Ivor stepped forward, his expression determined. "We need to press on and find Endurus before it's too late," he declared, his voice echoing with resolve. "He's up to something, and we can't let him get away with it."
As Alfie, without a second thought, pulled the lever, the iron door swung open, revealing a grim scene beyond. The group rushed inside, their footsteps echoing off the stone walls of the dungeon.
As they entered, a wave of horror washed over them. The room was a dungeon, filled with rows of iron bars behind which the innocent were housed like animals awaiting slaughter. The air was thick with despair and suffering, a palpable sense of anguish hanging heavy in the stale air.
Among the prisoners, they spotted Logan, lying on the cold stone floor, clearly starved and drained from the inhuman experiments he had endured. Anguish flickered in Ryan's eyes as he approached the bars separating them.
"Logan," Ryan called out, his voice filled with sorrow and determination. "We're here to get you out of here."
Logan's weary eyes met Ryan's, a glimmer of hope flickering in their depths. "Ryan... is it really you?" he whispered, his voice barely audible over the din of the dungeon.
Ryan nodded, his heart heavy with grief at the sight of his brother in such a state. "Yeah, it's me," he replied, his voice choked with emotion. "We're going to get you out of here, I promise."
As Ryan turned to the group, his brow furrowed with concern, he voiced the question on everyone's mind. "How are we going to get him out? The iron door is locked."
Alfie, ever the impulsive one, stepped forward with confidence. "Step aside, everyone," he declared, pulling out a TNT block and setting it alight next to Logan's cell.
A deafening explosion filled the room as the TNT detonated, leaving a gaping hole in the wall where Logan's cell once stood. Dust and debris scattered in all directions as the group cautiously approached the newly created opening.
Emma's expression shifted from relief to concern as she turned to Alfie. "You could have seriously hurt someone with that," she scolded, her voice stern yet tinged with worry.
Alfie flashed a mischievous grin, undeterred by Emma's admonishment. "Relax, Emma," he quipped, his tone lighthearted. "I always knew Logan needed some extra ventilation in his room."
As Alfie blasted open the doors to two other cells, freeing more prisoners, a sense of liberation filled the air. Geoff's voice cut through the chaos, urging them to run and reminding them that they were finally free from Endurus's clutches.
The group began to make their way out of the dungeon, their footsteps echoing off the stone walls as they hurried to escape the confines of their captivity. But as they reached the exit, Ryan's keen ears caught a faint sound coming from what they had assumed was an empty cell.
Curiosity piqued, Ryan hesitated for a moment before turning back. With determination in his eyes, he rushed over to the cell where a girl lay on the floor, her eyes wide with fear and uncertainty.
