"Come on fat girl, you gotta put clothes on." I cooed to Sa'Khari softly as I tried to get her dressed.
"You can't be naked meeting everyone stinky." I said after successfully getting her onesie on her. She fussed a little but calmed down once I picked her up and started walking around the nursery.
"Oh you just wanted to be nosey huh mama?" I said softy as I kissed her little cheek. Fantasia and I decided to wait three months before having a 'Meet the baby' baby shower. Just to be on the safe side.
Sa'Khari started cooing loudly while kicking her feet, letting me know Tasia was in the doorway. I turned my head and smiled at her before looking down at Khari.
"Is that your mommy?! You happy to see her?" I cooed making her kick more and smile as Tasia walked over to the both of us.
"Hi my pretty baby, you ready to open your gifts?" She said as she stood behind me, placing her hands on my hips as she talked to Sa'Khari who responded in baby babbles.
"Your daughter wants to be a nudist." I said making her laugh before giving her a quick kiss.
"She gets it from you and you know it." She replied as she gently took Sa'Khari from me.
"Go get dressed Mama, people are starting to get here." She said as she held Sa'Khari in that football hold I found hilarious.
"Okay I'll be ready in ten minutes. Where are the kids?" I asked as we walked from the nursery to our bedroom.
"In the back with our moms and Dani. I think both Regina's just pulled up as well as Lady O and Colman." She responded as I headed straight to the closet.
I grabbed the outfit I wanted to wear, taking it off the hanger before stepping back into the bedroom and setting it on the bed.
I quickly got changed, watching as Fantasia animated spoke to Sa'Khari who was cooing back to everything she said.
I slid on my sandals last before taking a look at my hair and deciding to just throw it up in a bun before turning around.

"This okay?" I asked as I messed with my shawl. I was tempted to change into something that would cover me more, still having slight body dysmorphia after giving birth.
"You look beautiful Mama, you ready to head downstairs?" She replied as she stood up.
I nodded before reaching out for her hand, which she happily gave me, before we all headed downstairs and into our back yard.
We were greeted by our family and friends, letting only a select few hold Sa'Khari before we sat down to play whatever games Dani had planned.
After about an hour I went inside with Sa'Khari to feed her. Even though she was only three months, she did NOT play about her food.
"Okay okay calm down greedy butt." I said as I pulled down my top, letting her latch on to my breast which immediately calmed her down.
"I hope you know the second you get teeth you're getting a bottle." I said with a light laugh, using my free hand to smooth out her eyebrows. She grunted lowly in response, her eyes starting to close as she kept eating.
"How you gon go to sleep at your own party stinky? Such a bad host." I jokingly cooed as I ran my fingers over her tiny face.
The corners of her mouth lifted slightly as she fell asleep. I waited about a minute or two before moving her away from my breast to make sure she was done completely. I quickly fixed my shirt before sitting her up on my knee to burp her.
It didn't take long for her to burp and once she was soundly asleep I placed her in my arms and headed back outside. I sat down at the table next to Zion who was typing aggressively on her phone.
"Uh oh who made you mad?" I asked making her sigh as she clicked the send button.
"Tahj. I went to meet his family the other day and he basically just let his sister and mama disrespect me and I'm not with that." She said as she slumped back in her chair.
"It was giving they wanted him to be their man and I told him that's basically emotional incest and he told me I was tripping. Am I tripping?" She asked looking over at me and I immediately shook my head no.
"Absolutely not. I know exactly what you mean because Kelvin's family as the same way. Leave him where he's at, there's better people out there." I said making her nod.
"What happened to waiter boy from that restaurant? That was your ticket to free food." I said nudging her with a laugh.
"Baby mama drama. I'm too young to be a step mom." She replied making me laugh harder.
"What about that one boy from school?" I asked and she immediately shook her head no.
"Felon, ghosted him before the first date." She said making me shake my head.
"Oh Lord Zion, where you be finding these boys at?" I asked, taking a sip of my water and she put her hands up in defense.
"I don't find them, they find me. It's like I'm a bum magnet. I'm bout to be like you and Mommy and switch teams." She said making me choke mid sip.
"Oh God why are you always trying to kill me?" I said as she laughed.
"I'm being serious!" She laughed and I shook my head.
"Fantasia come get your child!" I playfully yelled across the yard, making her turn around to look at us in confusion.
"She's being dramatic Mommy! Don't listen to her." Zion responded as Tasia made her way over to us.
"Why y'all yelling while my baby is trying to sleep?" She said as she sat next to me, taking Sa'Khari from me.
"Cause your child is a goofball. She always wants to say some off the wall shit when I'm eating or drinking something. It's like she's purposely trying to get me to choke." I said making Zion gasp.
"I am innocent! All I said was I was going to switch teams like y'all did!" She said making Fantasia instantly burst into laughter.
"Zion, corner now because what the hell?!" Dani said from behind us causing all of us to laugh even harder.
"I speak my truth and I get punished. Is it because I'm black?!" She asked making the three of us look at each other before responding.
"Yes."
