“Aren't they cute? May bago akong ship.” Uncle Rojan said out of the blue, Cielo followed his gaze and it landed on the two people on the dancefloor– Maki and Morgan.
“Right?” Pag sang-ayon ni Cielo. Muntikan nang mapairap si Uncle Rojan sa sinabi niya, but he remembered that he's a man.
“Pero iba pa rin talaga impact niyong dalawa, so I'll stay with my original ship.” Napairap si Cielo sa sinabi ng kaniyang tiyo. She took a shot and downed it.
“Hoy, hinay hinay ka diyan.” Pagsasaway ng Uncle niya. Cielo bit into the lemon and pinch a salt, sprinkle it onto her tongue.
“Tatlong shot palang, Uncle. And I'm not a lightweight noh.” Cielo said.
“Ayy bahala ka talaga.” The older man said giving up.
The second slow dance finally stopped and the people at the center dispersed, went back to their perspective seats.
“Kaya pala ang tagal niyo. Nag shot pala kayo, akala ko kukuha lang kayo ng drinks?” Napalingon ang dalawa sa nagsalita and they saw Mr. Madrigal standing there with his hands on his waist.
“Sorry na po dad.” Rojan said jokingly.
“Utot mo dad. Ikaw imbis na pigilan mo eh sinang-ayunan mo pa ata. Bumalik na kayo sa table.” Mr. Madrigal scolded his brother and Cielo just smile while shaking her head.
“Tell him, Cielo.” Rojan said.
“Sabi niya po dad, okay lang daw kasi madami naman maghahatid sa amin ni Maki.” Her Uncle Rojan's head immediately snapped at her.
“Snitch ka talaga.” Rojan said at natawa na lang si Cielo.
“Sorry, Uncle.” Cielo said pouting at her Uncle as they stood up and walked back to where their table are.
‘the drinks were so strong. I can feel it in my veins.’ Cielo thought to herself.
They all sat down to their previous seats. Maki was busy talking to Ms. Bernardo when they arrived at their table. Maki immediately take noticed at Cielo's pinkish earlobes. Maki pushed her glass of water towards Cielo while focusing her attention to the conversation between her and the older woman beside her. Cielo upon noticing the water and feeling the lump in her throat, chugged the water.
Rojan's being attentive, took noticed on the little interaction between the two woman. And a small smile crept on the side of his lips.
Morgan on the other hand was nowhere to be seen, as Cielo noticed she immediately asked for the whereabouts of her sister.
“Ano ba itong si Morgan, kung hindi a-attend ng party eh lagi namang MIA.” Komento niya at inayos ang pagkakaupo niya.
“Is she taken or single?” Her Uncle Rojan asked out of the blue.
“Ewan ko sa buhay ng babaeng iyon.” Cielo answered.
“What are you talking about behind my back?” Morgan suddenly showed up na may dalang drinks sa kaniyang kamay.
“Are you even legal to drink na?” Pagtatanong ni Cielo dito, inirapan siya ng kapatid niya.
