Camp Half-Blood was nestled deep within the pinewood forests of Long Island, providing a sanctuary of safety for the demigod children of the gods.

A magical broder concealed the camp from mortal eyes, allowing its secret inhabitants to develop their abilities while shielded from the outside world.

Scattered across the valley were a dozen cabins in a U shape, each dedicated to a different god, offering a place for demigods to rest and reflect.

The camp itself was dotted with various training facilities and resources, from the archery range to the climbing wall.

Some may call it a death camp, but Tessa called it home.

After Percy had ditched Grover at the bus terminal, Tessa had got herself a taxi all the way to Camp.

Once there, she immediately skipped on over to the Apollo Cabin, which was cabin seven. It consisted of around forty demigods and was one of the biggest cabins at Camp HalfBlood.

If you wanted to find Tessa Jones around camp, your best bet would to either head to the Apollo Cabin or the Aphrodite Cabin.

Since she had no siblings of her own and her cabin (cabin eight) consisted of just her, Tessa hated spending more time in it than necessary.

The daughter of Artemis got along well with the Apollo campers, who were technically her cousins, and so it didn't come as a shock to anyone.

Especially considering that Tessa trained with them - more so when it came to archery.

The girl could aim impeccably well, ask anyone. They'd all vouch for her.

When Tessa first arrived at camp, and a few days after her claiming, she had been practicing her archery skills along when Luke Castellan approached her.

Tessa had been so focused that she hardly noticed him walking towards her until he placed a hand on her shoulder. It was a stupid decision on his part when the eight year old girl had a bow and arrow in her hand.

Shocked by the sudden touch, Tessa had spun around on her heel and instinctively released her arrow - impaling itself in the boys stomach.

It was safe to say that the pair hardly interacted after that which Tessa was glad about. The son of Hermes had continuously tried to befriend her but the girl constantly shot down his attempts.

The daughter of Artemis claimed that there was something odd about him. Something that she couldn't quite place her finger on.

Walking up on the porch, Tessa could already see Apollo campers waving at her. She grinned at them, waving back.

The Apollo cabin was as rowdy as usual, and today was no exception.

In all his bronze-tanned glory, Aedan was currently sat amongst three of his siblings, strumming away happily on his guitar. That was, until his eyes landed on the child of Artemis that had just entered the cabin.

Rising, he gently placed his guitar aside before walking over, offering a pleasant smile as he leaned against a nearby wall. "Hey Tessa."

Tessa smiled at him. "Hey Aedan! Is Lee or Michael anywhere nearby?"

He snorted. "They're in the infirmary again," he explained. "Some Ares kids got in a fight." His eyes landed on her, taking in her appearance. "Looks like you've had an interesting year. I heard you went to Yancy Academy?" Aedan's amusement was palpable.

Tess nodded, Aedan was a summer camper only and so it slightly surprised her when he knew about her year.

"I was practically demigod watching." She shrugged. "Who told you?"
