At The Announcement Area

Mashima announces the results of the exam and afterwards, Nagumo approaches Kiyone.

Nagumo: You seemed to think so highly of Horikita-Senpai but look at him now having to desperately try to cling on to his position in Class A.

Kiyone: Don't act like this was an attempt to convince me. You would have done this regardless of me. Given your tactic I am impressed.

Nagumo: Ha ha. So how about it.

Kiyone: It's still a no.

Nagumo: Alright alright.

Nagumo walks away.

Kushida- Why does this bitch get all the attention?

Kiyone was walking down the stairs when Sudo walked over to her.

Sudo: I don't get it. What does President Nagumo have to do with what happened there?

Kiyone: It's simple. Nagumo intentionally created a group that would fall below the borderline so he could expel Tachibana-Senpai.

Sudo: But then his ally would be expelled. Why would she agree to that?

Kiyone: Yes that's true but Nagumo will save her using 20 million Private Points.

Sudo: But what's the point then? Both of them lost 20 million Private Points.

Kiyone: Yes but Nagumo has a supply from the entire 2nd Year. Horikita-Senpai only has a supply from his own class. It's much more damaging to Horikita-Senpai.

Sudo: What the! That dirty bastard!

Kiyone: It was a good strategy. He put on the facade that he was a man of his word over his 2 years at this school and then there was his promise in Horikita-Senpai's face just before he graduated. It would take a lot of patience and doormatting to pull it off.

Sudo: Don't tell me you agree with such a plan.

Kiyone: I don't really care. A strategy is just that. A strategy.

Sudo: But it's dirty!

Kiyone: That's what the real world is like. If you don't like it then you must build the strength to not need them and still come out on top.

Sudo: ...

Kiyone: Sudo. Such plans are sometimes necessary. Sometimes you have to shake hands with the devil to keep the people yo care about safe. Nagumo however uses it for his own gain.

Sudo: So it just depends on what it's used for?

Kiyone: I never said that. Think of it as you will but that's the reality of this world. If you can't spot it then you'll be left in the dust.

Sudo tcchs.

Sudo: That's so messed up.

Kiyone: You'll experience it in Basketball as well. People will taunt you to get a reaction and make you lose your cool. What do the best players in the game do?

Sudo: They don't let it faze them.

Kiyone: That's all that needs to be said then.

Kiyone is about to leave.

Sudo: Kiyone wait.

Kiyone stops.

Sudo: Thank you for everything. You're like the most amazing person I've ever met. Without you, I'd have been expelled a long time ago.
