the next day colt and jaylee were basically attached to eachother by the hip, much to jaylee's delight.

despite the fact that they both feared for their lives, colt decided to tell dan everything.

"i got to tell jody." colt whispered

"about the dead guy?" dan asked, "how do you know he was dead? he could've just been knocked out."

"on ice dan? really?" jaylee knew he was just trying to help, but come on. be realistic.

"yeah. ice baths are very good for inflammation." he reasoned "and are you forgetting that colt was high?"

"how can we? you keep bringing it up." she sighed "and i wasn't high. it was just colt, so it was definitely real."

"okay well in a much happier subject, jody wants you guys to do a oner. and it's a big one." dan said "she's got us building a truck for a 250 ft jump."

"ohhh fuck my life."

just then jody waltzed up to the two.

"this action I can't get" she said "feeling of the pursuit of love. how far would you go for love?"

"too far apparently." jaylee mumbled.

"you can't go very far with ryder. he's a drip and he runs weird and he can't do action, you can." she said turning to colt. she then turned to jaylee. "and i had a talk with iggy, she's pulling out of the play. so congrats sis you're an actor."

"well shit." jaylee sighed. jody gave her a disapproving look, she never liked jaylee's choice of words. sighing jody continued.

"i don't need cuts or gimmicks, i just need you two. wanna shoot the shit out of sydney harbour with me in four hours, no,
three hours and fifty two minutes?"

"okay cool, let's do this." colt said with a smile.

with green dots all over colts face, and jaylee's makeup hair and outfit ready to go, the two filmed basics the entire movie. in one day.

it definitely got jaylee's mind off of things. maybe they can all just go back to normal?

oh how wrong she was.

"how'd we do boss?" colt asked jody.

"amazing, it was so good, we're going out for karaoke, you guys can come if you want, i'd like for both of you to come."

"we'll be there" jaylee answered for both of them. she just wants her life back. and if embarrassing herself in front of the entire cast and crew of metal storm was the way to do it. she would.

"okay cool, see you guys there." jody said cheerfully before sending jaylee a wink. oh she's screwed herself over hasn't she. meanwhile colt sent her finger guns.

"i saw that." dan said

"you saw the finger guns?"

"oh i saw the finger guns"

"what the hell are you two talking about?"

the next day, colt and jaylee were still always together. they even shared a trailer now. outside of their trailer they were talking to maddy, a woman who was not going down without a fight.

"hi." gail said to jaylee while colt tried to win a fight that they all knew he was losing.

"i didn't have— i didn't have breakfast." he said oh so convincingly.

"yeah, you did." maddy retorted.

"i disagree."

"i gave you a brekky wrap this morning, technically, this is all meal penalty, if you want the..." she trailed off, she seemed timid but the look in her eyes showed that she was ecstatic she had won this battle.

"oh" jaylee had almost forgotten that gail was here with them. colt seemed to realize she was here too and tried walking away to be with her and jaylee, that was until he was once again stopped.

"it's fine. just sign." maddy said handing colt a clipboard.

"thanks, i'm just saying, not everyone's gonna be as cool about it as I am. you know?" he said

"no, I get it." maddy said walking away. finally free, colt walked over to the two women and stood next to jaylee.

gail handed the two tickets.

"what are these?" jaylee was disturbed by her audacity. this was her sister film not hers she had no right to try and kick them off of it, especially not her.

"i've got you both on a 5:55 flight out of here. okay? i have a car waiting for you."

"now?" colt seemed as taken aback as she did.

"engine's on. yeah. there is some serious shit going down, okay?" they knew what they needed to do, but both denied wanting to leave.

"i just told jody we were gonna meet her for karaoke." jaylee said

"and I'm actually embarrassed that I got you here," gail said turning to colt before looking at them both again "and got you both all tangled up in this."

gail sighed "i just want to get you out of here before it escalates, get your stuff together. we're going. you're gonna miss the flight."

in the distance jaylee could hear alma, tom ryders assistant, but she was more like a servant.

"okay, but I'm late, and I got to get Ryder's dogs to daycare. fluffy needs her oatmeal bath. she gets hives." god he had her running everywhere.

"hey, should I be looking for another job, alma? you're ryder's assistant. you must know." everyone seemed to listen in. what was she talking about? the she in question being birdie.

"all i can tell you is that if ryder is a noshow tomorrow, the studio will shut us down." alma said.

"god, poor jody, say hello to directors' jail i guess" jaylee sighed, she couldn't let this happen.

"yes, yes, poor jody. now you two really must be going, you're going to be late for your flight."

jaylee couldn't stand gail. she was starting to get on her nerves.
