When I forced open my eyes, I instantly clamped them shut as light invaded my vision. When I wiggled my fingers I could feel a plastic device clamped onto my index finger. A pain that I couldnt ignore was surging through my head and right arm, making it hard to focus.

I tried to talk but it was spoken as an inaudible groan, but apparently grabbed some attention. I could hear people talking as long as a faint, but anoying beeping noise. Slowly as if I was walking closer, peoples words were becoming less distant and more clear. That was until I heard the soft click of the door shutting, muffling conversations.

I cleared my throat and tried once more to speak. "Lights," Although my words were slightly slurred they were alot more understandable. Thankfully moments later the brightness subsided, allowing me to open my eyes. My vision was cloudy, but I noticed the room was now vacant other than two figures hovering over me.

When I inhaled I smelled the ireplacable scent of my mothers perfume. However the other person was still a mystery.

As my vision slowly returned I learned that the other figure was, well... Lets just say h-o-t. I tried to sit up, but my mother quickly shoved me down. "Rest, you cant go to sleep because you may have a concussion, but please dear, rest." Concussion? How would I have a concussion? And why am I in a hospital bed?

"What? A concussion?" I asked, my eyebrows drawing together in confusion. My mothers eyes widened, "You dont remeber?" I shook my head no to answer her question as I continued my confused stare. Before she could answer me properly she broke into tears. She held up an index finger, telling me to wait, while wiping her nose. I watched intently as she walked into the hallway, squeezing the crumbled tissue in her fist.

"Hey." I jumped at the sound of another voice. My eyes widned when I realized I wasnt sure who he was. "Umm..hi?" I asked more confused now than ever. I continued to stare at him in confusion while he chuckled softly. "I forgot you dont know me. My name is Jackson, Jackson Goodman." He extended his hand for me to shake, so with trembling fingers I placed my small hand in his larger one. "Rylin Brooks." I said as my eyes scanned down his perfect body.

He was wearing a white Hollister shirt, paired with dark colored jeans and for shoes he was wearing black vans. When my eyes lifted back to his face, I saw he was also checking me out. Usually I would have said a sarcastic comment to embarass him, but instead started blushing due to my unatractive hospital gown, and smeared makeup. Not counting that my hair, could easily be mistaken for a birds nest.

"So I guess, you deserve an explanation." He said with a masculine yet soft voice. I felt my head nod before he had even finished his question.

"Well bottom line, you attempted suicide. However you forgot the police had put an air mattress below you so you landed on it. How you fell backwards caused your head to hit with alot of force, and although it didnt kill you, it did knock you out for a few hours." His words should have shocked me but they didnt. I cant do anything right, what makes suicide different? And although I have a million questions to ask my number one was how was he involved? Before I could even voice my thoughts, he mumbled. "And I jumped immediatly after." Thats when it all came back. Him grabbing me from behind as the officer tried to speak to me through a mega phone. Little did I know he would acttualy do it. I thought it was another vain attempt to get me not to jump, but he did it.

Without thinking to much I used both arms to shove myself into a sitting position. However when I applied pressure on my right arm, I noticed the bulky cast. Choosing to ignore that for now, I turned to Jackson. "Are you fucking insane? You could have died!?" As soon as the words left my mouth I realized how hypacritical I was being. But if he would have died, it would have been my fault. What if I hadnt forgot the airmattress and jumped on pavment like I had planed? He would have died right along with me. "No. But what I say I mean, and I will see you later." He retorted, his words were not rude or mean but were strict and final. Before I could respond he calmy left my room.

A few minutes later and my mom strolled back in. Her arms were wrapped around her small body, as if giving herself a hug. When our eyes met, I swear the world stopped spinning. She held a look of pure agony, and being broke. It appears as if she hasnt slept in weeks, with bags surrounding her eyes.

My eyes stung with tears when I realized that I caused he to be like this. If ony I could have been strong, this wouldnt have happened. Maybe if I faught him a little harder, he would not have done that to me. Maybe if I was strong I wouldnt have jumped off the building, and she could be peacfully asleep right now.

But maybe it will get better. As if.
