Derek Hale is the town's best basketball player and everyone knows it, even him. 

Scott McCall and Stiles Stilinski are Beacon Hill's best known jokers. Stiles' dad and Scott's mom got married when the two were three years old, and since then they've been inseparable. 

On the off season Scott played basketball with Derek, granted he's not as good at basketball as he is at lacrosse, but he does good enough. 

Stiles was never that interested in sports, so he made a deal with Scott that he'd go to his first and last games each season and when he wasn't there he'd be at the library or in his room reading or doing research about random things. 

Today was the first basketball game of the season, and Scott dragged Stiles along reluctantly as he complained the whole time.

When they got there, Scott went to change and Stiles found a seat at the back and played on his phone until he had to watch the game. 

Scott walked in to the locked room and headed straight for Derek. "Hey dude. How's it going?" Scott asked as he got changed into his basketball kit and trainers. 

"Hey Scott. It's going great." Derek sat down to tie his shoes. " You ready for the game?" Derek asked, jumping up and doing a quick warm up. 

"Yeah I'm ready. My brothers out there soil hoping not to fall on my ass because he'll never let me forget it." Derek laughed along with Scott as they stretched and got ready to do out and play. 

"OKAY! EVERYBODY UP AND OUT! TIME TO WIN!" The coach yelled and all the players ran out onto the court to everyone cheering. 

Scott looked through the crowds of people and spotted Stiles on his feet cheering him on. "WOAH! GO SCOTT!" He heard his brother yelling. 

Scott smiled as he got to his spot ready to play the game. 

The game began and the Beacon Hills team were winning. Half-time rolled around and Scott was sat n the bench, quenching his thirst with a bottle of Gatorade. 

Scott took out his phone when he heard it ping, it was Stiles.
